Two weeks in a row, SIP And Live Streaming crash during recording
For the second week in a row, during my WordPress Weekly Talkcast which comes on every Friday evening at 8PM EST and usually last to 9PM EST the live stream as well as the SIP portion of the phone bridge has gone offline. This causes my shows stream to disappear and only those who are dialed in on a landline can be heard. Now, the recording does continue and those who are on the call with a landline end up in the final MP3 but the show becomes a real drag when I can't have people in the chatroom hear the stream.
As I said, this is the second time in a row this problem has occurred. What is the problem? I had a few other people call into my show asking me if the audio dropped on my show as it did on theirs so this appears to be a sitewide problem. I love the fact that Talkshoe is free and all and because of that, I believe the mindset is "it's free so don't complain" but when I've built a loyal following with my show and I depend on the site and its feature set to be available for one hour during the week, it's hard not to complain, especially when I bring on important people in my field for interviews and no one can tune into the live stream. With no live stream, the chatroom becomes useless.
The bottom line is, I need to know what the problem is so I can explain it to my audience. I also need to know if it's being addressed and what to expect for my show next Friday evening when I have a very important interview scheduled. If this issue continues for a few more shows, I will be forced to move my entire community away from Talkshoe to something else which is on my list of "Last Ditch Effort" things to do.

Inappropriate? It appears that a hardware failure may be the cause of this issue. Some of the details and workarounds can be found at http://www.talkshoe.com/blog/index.ph...

Inappropriate?Hmm, well that post was written back in January. Surely they would have fixed the hardware issue by now! Unless of course, a new one has sprang up that we don't know about.

Inappropriate? The original post was written in January, however, the post was updated today with additional information about the current issue.
