alternative way to delete an entry?
Hi Tapbot team,
I downloaded the Weightbot and fell in love instantly :) Veeeery useful and really beautiful!
One idea though you might want to consider to inculde with the next update. I feel a bit weird to shake my iPhone to delete an entry. It would be nice to have an alternative way to get rid of an entry with eg. a "Delete" button, or by wiping accross the date, or dragging the weight out of its small window, etc.
Thanks again and all the best,
Krisz

Inappropriate? Thanks for the suggestions. We chose shaking because we didn't think folks would be deleting data very often and its a nice unobtrusive way to do so (i.e. no extra buttons in the UI).
How often are you deleting data from the app and why? Maybe you are using the app in a way we didn't expect and so I'd like to understand what your exact needs are. -
Inappropriate?Hi Paul,
Thanks for the answer. I don't think I would delete entries too often. I just don't like shaking my iphone, that's all.
If you think placing an additional button on the UI would decrease usability then don't do it -- I can live without it.
Thanks and best,
Krisz

Inappropriate? It takes a LOT of shaking to even delete a single data!
Please consider the following.
I only used weightbot for a two weeks when I first installed it, forgot about the app, and started using it again recently.
I really want to continue using it to motivate myself to lose weight, but because there are about a dozen data about a year ago that is lingering, the weight graph always shows a increasing trend (yeah, I put on a kilograam or so...) even though I am doing a good job in the past three weeks or so. This puts me off from using the app.
All I want to do is delete the data from the very FAR past so that it doesn't get in the way of how I am doing recently.
Requiring to shake the iPhone so many times for a trivial interaction is not good UI, meaning, "User Interaction" with the application.
All this shaking maybe an exercise in itself ;-), and it may be cool, but there should be an alternative way of doing that.

Inappropriate?Yes it would be good to easily delete old records and reset the stats if you have a break and set new goals
