E-mail address and backup?
My Weightbot is set to back up to my Gmail address. Where does this backup date get stored? I lost all my weightbot data and restored it via Weightbot itself but is there something that gets e-mailed as well? In other words, what is the relationship between the email address Weightbot has for me and my backup? I'm worried that if it gets wiped again, I won't be able to back up because because I don't understand where that data is stored.

Inappropriate? If you created a backup account, then your data is stored on our secure servers. The only reason we use your email account name as the username is if you forget your password, we can make sure you can retrieve it and not someone else.
So as long as you remember your username/password and make sure you are logged into the backup, you should be safe. -
Inappropriate?Sweet, so if on my Weightbot app, I see my e-mail address/username in there, that means that my stuff is being backed up somewhere real?

Inappropriate? If you are logged in, you should see a list of backups under your username as well as buttons to backup and restore. Just check for a recent date to make sure it's working. You can also check to see if Auto backups are turned on in the main settings screen.

Inappropriate? And are these backups being pulled off your server and not the iPhone? Because, for example, when I last synced my iPhone, it reset Weightbot and I thought I lost everything. Going forward, I want to understand where the data is stored and know that it is somewhere where I can restore from it regardless of what's happening w/ my iPhone itself.

Inappropriate?Yes, these backups are synced with our server. The main reason for this is people can lose/break their phone so if they get a new device, they can always get their data back on the device.
