Add option to submit challenge scores to leaderboard
After you've finished a challenge, it would be nice to be able to submit it online to the leaderboard (and keep it as a personal high score) as well. Sometimes I get really good scores on a challenge and wish I could keep it.

Inappropriate?yee me too except this is a similar problem to the one with submitting online scores to the leader board because of catchup taps. and yes i realize another code can be added to the script to confirm if you've hit any catchup's or not, but then you'd have to change the coding for the catchup taps. because regardless whether you hit them or not, it's all about if they were available to you when you played the challenge. so it'd be like "if catchup tap=active, disable leaderboard postability at end of song lol. yes i know that's not real coding but just an example.5 Comments

I've never once seen a catch-up tap in a challenge. Do they actually exist?

There are. They are harder to see in the new theme because it gets mixed up with the 8x tappers completely, but in non-8x mode they look like glowing spheres. Besides, you can tell when you hit a catch-up because of the way the tapping lane/rail lights up.
To test this, try sending a challenge to yourself and let some spheres drop, that way you'll start seeing catchups. -
I don't want to argue with you, DW, because I have no doubt you know more about this game than I do **bow to the master**, but I really don't think there are catch-up taps on challenges. I just played one against myself three times. The first time, I literally didn't tap at all, and there was never a catch-up tap offered (and, sadly, I do know what they look like, I've seen them in online play more times than I care to admit). I decided the game didn't think I was playing, so it didn't offer up the catch-ups, so I tried again. This time I played like a 5-year-old with no rhythm: hitting the screen for most taps, but off beat frequently and never getting a streak longer than 20. Still no catch-up taps. Then I played a third time hitting the screen for about every 5 taps, never building up a streak at all, and never letting my score go above 2,000. Still no catch-up taps.
So, now I'm more sure than ever there are no catch-up taps in challenges. So I hope the programmers will use lc's suggestion, because I love it and think it's a great one. -
Hmm you know...I just tested this now and it seems like the catchups are gone from challenges in the new version. D'oh! The last time I tested this was in an older version, and from my recollection, there did use to be catch ups in challenges.
Then again I could have tested the wrong game mode, given that there are quite the number of them now :P -
Inappropriate?Also the ability to post a battle or challenge someone else from a challenge. Basically, all the options after finishing a song should be available after a challenge. Especially the leaderboard.
I just FCed a challenge and I KNOW this is better than my current top score...
