Ads. Switch off wifi first
Free it may be but those ads from admob are just irritating. More irritating are the TTD ads and I already have that.
So open TTR2, download tracks, close TTR2, Settings > switch off wifi.
Game runs better and no ads.

Inappropriate?The ads help tapulous and of course there is no way to access the ads when offline. However then you lose the ability to upload scores. If anything tapulous should remove the ads on anything other than wifi. Those with an iPod Touch either use wifi or nothing. For those with an iPhone, we get to use gprs, edge and 3g. The ads seem to make everything much slower on anything other than wifi. It takes a long time to view the track lists on edge. All i want to use it for is to upload the scores. -

I was not talking about a lite version at all. It's great that they use the ads rather than charging but alot of people really want some of the old songs in TTR1 that weren't added to TTR2 and there are other awesome songs out there. I am saying you could have a premium version that didn't depend on ads. This doesn't make TTR2 lite at all. It just means there are other premium tracks added, like that have been done with Dance and NIN but just as an adless version than a totally new expansion. The problem with the ads is that when i am forced to use gprs or edge, the menus take a longer time to load because it wants to load the ads first. It's nothing major but it can be annoying.

Ah yes I see what you're saying. The dreaded gprs... I can't be sure we can get some of the older songs from Tap Tap 1, as those licenses are up.. but maybe we could do something like that....

Another option would be to save scores to be uploaded later instead and turning off wifi while playing. But then this creates 2 problems - having to turn it off to go online and tapulous not getting any money because there are no ads displaying, hence the reason for a paid version so tapulous gets some money. Although i guess i could live with it. it's more than those with iTouches get as they can't submit any scores without wifi.

Excuse me? This thread is over three months old. If you're having a technical issue, that's your problem. And to be honest, it's most likely on your end rather than a server issue.
