Can someone please verify the application "i-FunBox"?
Hey, so someone posted a reply about some application called i-FunBox, which is a tool you can use to SSH into your iPod/iPhone WITHOUT having to jailbreak.
The application is 1.9 mb, and can be found here: http://www.i-funbox.com/
Can someone verify that this is true? The reasons why I would jailbreak is to mess around in the TTR folders, but it seems this program can do it without having to jailbreak..
Does someone here who uses this know if this can be done?
Thanks,
krohn7master

Inappropriate?I have it, and a lot of people say it works, but i have a feeling it doesnt work with firmware 3.1.2 because thats what i have, and i can't access my ipod. And it isnt jailbroken. If you figure something out, tell me. Thanks.

Inappropriate?i've downloaded it and have NOT yet found a way to access application files. however i think i can still put files onto my ipod and use it like a usb storage device with this program without having to jailbreak. haven't tried that yet but it looks like it has that functionality.
i was able to access all my pictures/screenshots, however i was able to do that with windows (Vista x64) explorer anyways. -
Inappropriate? It doesn't work on 3.1.2 it works with older like 3.1 Chronical used to use it.. .... But I know it doesn't work with 3.1.2 yet cos of friends..

It does work with 3.1.2. The only reason that it won't work is that when you jailbreak with blackra1n it doesnt add the afc2 service. You can add that afterwards via a package in cydia. -
Inappropriate? To access the root filesystem, you need the "afc2+" service installed, which requires jailbreaking. You can't access application folders without root access, so no you can't...
-
Inappropriate?Without a jailbreak you will not be able to access any of the folders that contain the application folders. You will only be able to access music, video, wallpaper, and ringtones. There is also another program that offer similar functionality called iphonebrowser. Although I prefer ifunbox simple because it looks better.

Inappropriate? You can SSH into it, but just the Media folder. With a jailbroken device you can go into your raw system files.
-
Inappropriate? It's doesnt seem to work with unjailbroken devices, I tried it on 3.1.2 software and it only saw my media files, but even that was empty, having to look in itunes control. Also it asctually says I need to be jailbroken!
So doesnt seem to word
