Chords: Tapping Multiple Dots at Once
The ability to tap more than one note at a time - which I'm not even sure could be already possible - would add a new dimension to gameplay by bringing it up to the level of difficulty of pretty much every other rhythm game out there. At first thought, it seems like I'm only saying we could tap two notes at once - but why not all three? Call 'em chords if you like, but the simple ability to tap more than one note at a time (and the subsequent injections of such note sequences into newer songs) would most certainly create a more challenging and enjoyable gaming experience.

Inappropriate? That is a great idea! Which is why we added that feature to our new game, Tap Tap Dance. We've been calling them multi-taps, but I think i like chords. We also added tap-and-holds too!

Inappropriate?Sweet! Looks like I'll be waiting for that Tap Tap 2.0 engine to hit TTR - I'm flat broke now, so I can't check it out in TT Dance at the moment. I've barred myself from crazy app store spending for the time being.
Also, if you like the music motif of "notes" and "chords," tap-and-holds could easy be called "sustains." And, on that note (no pun intended), I've just been struck with an idea: perhaps a whole bunch of gameplay mechanics based off of musical terms? The image in my mind formed around the word "crescendo" - and what that would look like in a tap tap game.
So, food for thought: A "crescendo/decrescendo" could be kind of like the whammy bar in Guitar Hero, except you pinch and squeeze to manipulate the individual sustain after tapping and holding down with the first finger. Thoughts?
I’m still honkey-tonk.
