continuous loop popup screen nagging to turn on location services
i am using the latest update to twinkle for the iphone.
if this is a 'feature' not a bug, it's still an annoying problem feature: with location services turned off, i constantly get this message: 'turn on location services to allow 'twinkle' to determine your location'.
clicking 'ok' brings it up again, again, again and again until i quit the application.
i do not wish to broadcast my location every single time i use this app! i turned it off at the settings menu. it should not bother me in a continuous nagging loop -forcing me to broadcast my location every single time. my twinkle's settings originally has location services turned off; but it refuses to be functional otherwise. this is very annoying.
before, i was able to use twinkle without this constant nag -just at the beginning. the program should refer to the settings it in the iphone's general settings and be done with it.

Inappropriate?Hey blackfeathers,
Thanks for the report. I see what you mean. So, with iPhone "location services" on, and Twinkle's "broadcast location" off, twinkle doesn't function? -
It works that way, but I just don't want Twinkle to access my location. I usually have location services off anyway, because it doesn't work well where I live. But the problem occurs when location services are on. I haven't tried it with location services turned off. -
Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. If I have location off, the program will not let me continue without turning location on.

Inappropriate?Same issue. why am I being asked for location every time I launch the app? This should be limited to when I am looking for nearby tweets. Incredibly dumb. And since the latest update, it is now killing the app...

I found out how to bypass it. when the program launches hurry up and click home. as long as you don't click on nearby it won't cause any problems. also as a side note, when you close the program in home, it will open back again in home the next time. -
Inappropriate?it happens for me when location services is off before i start up twinkle -just like how bandstrade described. however, for me, clicking home upon starting the app does nothing for me. i've tapped it many times during startup. it's still in a continuous loop.

Inappropriate?just a follow up to this issue:
i was finally able to turn off the infinite loop after upgrading to a later version and then struggling with the popup messages to get to the settings page where i was able to turn off broadcast location. the messages stopped after that. what i did to fix it answers my own question. the newer/current version didn't have the same issue for me.
