first time TTR user and bummed about buying experience, what the hell happened?
I really don't get what just happened. I am a newbie to Tap Tap Whatever.. I thought I bought Metallica Revenge and it put Tap Tap Revenge on my iPhone. Am I supposed to know the difference between v.2, v.3 etc..? (its not apparent from the App)
I clicked Buy App on the Metallica Revenge page in the iTunes store, but not sure what is going on. It looked like it downloaded.
Do I need some base App first, then download some Metallica pack? So far.. the user experience for purchasing has been horrible and I am bummed out.

Inappropriate?I looked at my iTunes bill and yes, I was charged 4.99 for the Metallica Revenge app but all that was put on my phone is the normal Tap Tap Revenge. I go back to the iTunes page for Metallica Revenge and there is the option to buy again. WTF??? This sucks.
I’m pissed off.
-
Inappropriate? So you bought it and it downloaded TTR3/2/classic?
-
Inappropriate?Hey Dwasco, it sounds like you bought the wrong app accidentally.
Could you possibly send us a screenshot of your app store and also the bill? (For the bill exclude name address etc. we don't want that here, you the art where it shows what you purchased).
There aren't really any differences just different Games.
If you are new to Tapulous I would highly suggest the .99¢ TTR3, Metallica is almost more of an addon as it is the hardest app Tapulous has at this point.
I hope this helps, if you have any other questions let us know!

Inappropriate?Hey dwasco -- This has also happened to me with random applications purchased in iTunes. Sometimes they are downloaded and appear to sync to the device, but don't...
At any rate -- the safest/easiest way to download apps is to download them via wifi straight to the device. That way, you can actually watch it appear & install, it will tell you if you need to upgrade OS, or if you can't run the app for some other reason.
Remember -- if you've already bought the app, you can always download it to your device without being charged again... you can even download it over and over if you need to... -
Inappropriate?Yeah, like it may say in the app store that the app is 4.99, and it may appear you'd be purchasing it again, but you aren't. A message will appear when the app begins to download and it will say like, "You've Already Purchased this app, so you will not be charged"
So don't worry about it/ -
Inappropriate?Hi Guys,
Thanks for the responses. I absolutely did not buy the wrong app, as in my "past purcahses" it said Metallica Revenge as I mentioned already. Thanks for the tip about Wifi but that was not an option for me. And really.. if buying straight in iTunes and sync'ing has problems, then do not give me that option.
So, end story is I contacted Apple (purchase, report problem interaction point) and all of a sudden Metallica Revenge showed up in my Applications list and finally sync'd properly and I have the game.
I also have the free Tap Tap Revenge on my phone, which I never donwloaded, caused the confusion, and did not want. I am still not sure why it first downloaded the free version onto my phone.
So, I am not as upset because I finally got what I paid for but the experience was still a big negative. I am glad that game is pretty fun to play though but not sure if I would buy again.
I’m indifferent

I'm not really sure why this happened, but the iTunes Store has had other bugs today, which may or may not have been related. Glad it's working for you now though. -
Inappropriate? Also, to BPP, I do appreciate your replies and I am sure you just want me to have a satisfactory experience. So please do not take this the wrong way. I would not suggest to someone that is their fault when I clearly stated that in my account records, it stated that I purchased "Metallica Revenge."
Also, suggesting I buy a different app is kind of strange. I bought the app because I like Metallica, not merely tapping on the phone. It doesn't make any difference to me what is deemed easier or harder. It's the music that matters and is the fun part of the gameplay. This is also why I immediately deleted the other version that was confusingly put on my phone.
I’m undecided
