Friends/Location not updating

This isn't limited to TTR3 which makes me think it's a profile issue but in both T3 and T2 when both me and my sister are online (I have both devices right next to each other) neither can see each other as online when we try to play against one another.

Additionally, the "location" doesn't ever seem to update, I think that's a set location on the profile as well. Even when both devices are next to each other we don't show up in the "nearby" section when we go online either.
