hey =] o need developing advice

Hey tapulous, im not asking any questions about any of your products today, but the reason im coming to you is that I have been inspired by your app Tap Tap to start developing. My dad used to be a great developer a while back, but they didn’t have c and c++ back then, so he simply started me on qbasic. Ive been working with basic for a while and im doing pretty good, my dad thinks its time to move up to c++l, but I don’t know how to. If there is any way you could give me advice on how to move up, or some books, or maybe a web site, I would apreacite it alotttt. Also, do you know of any good c++ compilers / writers that I could get, and maybe also a good free one that I could use before I get the paid version? I love the apps you guys are creating, and any, ANY advice you give to me would be amazingly accepted. And if you could respond to my email, it would be a lot easier and effecint for me, but you don’t have to
