I'm not the @nick you're looking for.
When anyone uses Twinkle to send an @ to someone whose name starts with nick, I (@nick) get it on Twitter. For instance, I've gotten messages to "@nick.m" and "@Nick Smith" (only it was some other last name but you get the point). So apparently Twinkle is using display names and Twitter is treating those like user names, so any display name that starts with "nick" and a nonalphanumeric character returns to me.

Inappropriate?Twitter only allows a very small set of characters in their names, so there are some problems with usernames with spaces (and other characters) in them that we need to iron out. My apologies for the mis-delivered messages in the mean time.

Inappropriate? It's been months. Twinkle is still making its users accidentally reply to me. I don't know who I am any more. I even shouted the question at the wind on the edge of a cliff. "Who am I?" No answer. Please fix this, Twinkle.

Hey Nick,
We've implemented a few things to fix this, though it seems some usernames have slipped through. Thanks for letting us know. -
Inappropriate?Still getting messages meant for Nick Strauss. Still driving me crazy.
