is there anyway to change my twinkle username

Is there a way to check if the new username is available before deleting your account?

Ed, that really needs to be sorted out. Someone has taken my Twitter name in Twinkle and I'm getting all of her messages in Twitter. She really should have a) not been able to use a name that has been in use on Twitter for over a year b) be able to easily change her username to avoid making people like me really angry.

I'll send @replies to someone via Twinkle, but they sometimes go to someone else in Twitter because the usernames don't match up. It seems like the whole process would work better if Twinkle used your Twitter account info instead of making you have a separate Tapulous account.

The first time I ever deleted my user account, it worked. Now, I need to do it again because it won't let me change my user picture. I think because I use a ”heart“ character in it. It says my e-mail is invalid, although it's the only e-mail address I've ever used. So, I was going to create a new user name with no special characters in it but when Tapulous sends me a link and I click on it, the account still works. I've tried 3 different times and can't delete it. What now!?

My username is the only one with the special characters in it. not the email. I'll try that though and see if this will help.
