Let us manually type out location?
In Collage, I'm apparently from Cupertino, CA - But this is only because Location Features don't work on my home wifi network, because of unknown reasons... But I suspect it's because my home town in by the SAS camp, or my iPod Touch 1G or 2G are useless..
Maybe let us type our own location on our Tapulous Profiles, and then it will update it for all your apps? (especially Collage and Twinkle) :)

Yes this is something we're considering. Though, as defg mentioned, we'd have to keep it serious.
If you have any ideas how we can keep it serious like this, I'd love to hear them. I thought maybe allow zipcodes only, but then what would people outside the US do... Lon/Lat, too confusing... anyway.

How about choosing from a list of countries? Im not on the US and appear in Cupertion CA. Choosing from a list of countries and then most popular cities or something please!!! -

Both Lysa24 and Yex have great ideas that could work. Maybe have a list of countries that the application is available in, then let them enter in their Zip Code / Postal Code / whatever their country uses and have it look it up with some service? I don't know

Inappropriate?Twinkle thinks that I live in San Jose, when I really live in Cupertino. I am offended by such a thing and demand immediate assistance with this problem. I do not pay 2k a month on rent for a studio to be lumped into the same area with such trash and drug dealers.

Inappropriate?Yes, it shows that I live in my pool in Cupertino. I have found that I live right on the border and that you guys are most likely using triangulation to locate me and that puts me out of the city line. Where as GPS will give me a much more accurate representation.
This initially worked with the first build that I used in July when the App Store was launched, and then in prior releases, it no longer begn functioning properly.1 Comment Add a comment
