LOL to Tap Tap Revenge 2.6!!
On iPhone OS 3.0, some strange, yet interesting things are happening with TTR 2.6 lol
Here's an example:
Weird looking pause, huh?
Also, the arrows are very unresponsive in 3.0...
But the game seems to be a little smoother and more playable with the update. Especially considering that I have an iPod touch 1st generation, I feel like I am playing a lot better and more effectively.
I think I am going to turn off the arrows for now.
Ever since I got 3.0, I can't seem to go online. When I go on Safari, any webpage redirects me to Comcast. But that's my problem. I need to get past that to get everything else working so I don't know how online play works yet.
I used someone else's Wi-Fi and got a Push Notification on my home page about a challenge, which I thought was pretty freakin' awesome if you ask me!
One of the best parts is that if you press the home button while you are playing a song in Tap Tap Revenge 2, it takes you to the home menu (of course lol) and the music that was playing fades to silence instead of instantly stopping!! That's sweet! lol
But the best part is the push notifications. Tapulous, you guys are awesome! Even in a transition to new firmware, you guys always know how to pull through!
Just letting you know, Tapulous, you guys are one of the main reasons why I got an iPod touch to begin with! :D

I don't get what's weird about the pause menu. It looks okay to me. What's wrong with it? It seems to have all the features you'd want there expect maybe "Restart song." -

Well I got a Push notification about a challenge and then a number 30 popped up to the top right of the app icon on the home screen. so i went into TTR2 and there is a number 30 in the yellow box that says Tap Tap Revenge 2, but all the way to the right...lol

The notification badge showed up in the smaller window in TTR2's main screen for me too, but only for a second.

That's not where Ed was getting at, bro. He was saying, adding a question of "Are you sure?" to one of the buttons is too much of a hassle.

Oh no adding the button isn't too much a hassle. I mean it's too many steps for the user when you're trying to quit the song. Least amount of clicks as possible is the goal.

Can you solve the problem of the tappers (When i touch tap ,i miss while i touch exaltly in the good moment ...)
(Exemple: in the 2.1 i could do 820.000 pts on Fact of life in extreme and now with the 2.6 (and 2.5) i just do700.000 ... )
Oww and do you have a bug on the Online game mode ? (Sometimes,you miss all of right taps ...)

No but I know somebody that just told me that Apple can track who is using OS 3.0 without buying it...so that worries me, bro. I think I am going to downgrade back to 2.2.1 and wait until Wednesday.

oh dont be scared dudes :), if apple knows who's using OS 3.0 or not, whats the problem? in the worst of the cases u cannot update directly from itunes, just download the firmware from another source, i know many ;D, shift-update and DONE! i preffer use 10 bucks in a lot of apps than a non-amazing update of firmware, or maybe a cheesehamburguer & a coke would be great hahaha :D

Inappropriate?Crashtastic!!! I think I'm going to have to look up how to send crash logs in. TTR2.6 has crashed about 6 times since I downloaded it less than an hour ago. Bummer.
I see people talking about challenges coming in through Push (if I understand correctly). We've been told playing with Push on is stupid because it makes the game laggier -- has that been fixed? **crosses fingers** I guess I have more testing to do, if I can get the thing to stop crashing for every other thing I try.

Inappropriate?The fade-to-silence is part of 3.0, not of Tap Tap Revenge. I've noticed because every app with music now fades to silence when I press the home button, even if it hasn't been updated for 3.0 :)
