Please let us downgrade to TTR1.6
Seriously, this is ridiculous. The "classic theme" for TTR1 really ruined the game. and especially when now it's a paid app, there really needs to be an option to revert to the old theme. Myself, DX, and Brian (Three Stoog...I mean best TTR1 players) all agree this theme wrecked the performance and the timing we adapted to when we began to play this game. I can't even get a fourth of the scores I could get before the 1.7 update.
I'd just jailbreak and get 1.6 in installous, but I do not want to jailbreak again.

I have been following Tap Tap since it was called Tap Tap Revolution and was made by one guy. Anyway, I don't get your point. Thanks Fr3Sh Pr1Nc3.
But if I told you I immediately forgot about TTR1 when TTR2 came out, would that make a difference or not? -
I don't really feel like taking the time to upload a few screenshots, but if you go to ttr1.7 right now (if you have it) then you'll see that the tap detection is much crappier and it lags a ton. Before this "update" there was no lag, and the tap detection was much better
oh, and don't call me a dickhead. I didn't do anything to you. -

yeah, but the performance got better in the new version of TTR2. In the "new" version of TTR1, the performance got suckier

also, i deleted and redownloaded TTR1, and now theres only a few slection of songs - songs which i used to have i don't think i can download anymore to play :(

I started going back to playing TTR1 a while ago. I forgot how amazingly smooth the performance was, and it was really nice to see that after playing TTR2. Once I upgraded to 1.7 there was a very noticeable change and I was disappointed!

About 1 month ago I was so fed up with TTR 1.7 that I did my best to find out how to downgrade to 1.6. After rigorous searching I found our how from this website http://www.maclife.com/article/howtos...
You don't have to jailbreak your idevice which is helpful all you need is the 1.6 Ipsw on your computer. Btw: Tapulous was wrong when they said 1.7 had the 1.6 engine, because 1.6 is much smoother (I still think we need the option to switch themes).

unfortunately if you dont sync your apps with your computer often, you wont have the previous versions D:

Inappropriate?I did find 1.5 out in the internet. It is the same thing as 1.6 except that online play was improved in 1.6....and that doesn't matter anymore.

oh come on. no need to put them down. they did what the users wanted..which was the old theme. they didn't realize it would affect performance and gameplay

I complained! Really, I did. It was much uglier than the previous one. Too much yellow at the bottom, the "electricity" of the rails didn't show very good, etc.
So yeah, blame me. lol -
Inappropriate?Hey Krohn - so do I delete TTR1 from my iPod before transferring the new file from iTunes? I'm just making sure so I don't end up deleting it and then having to pay $1.00 for it and losing everything... thanks! :)

Yeah, delete it first. But by the way, don't worry if you delete any app; when you go to the App Store and download it again, it will tell you you already purchased it so you will download it for free ;)
And this can happen many times! In fact, I know of marriages where both have the same iTunes account and they pay for one app and they install it on both their iPhones even without using the same computer. -
Inappropriate?Ok, so I DID delete it, but now when I try to get the new file I downloaded from the link Krohn provided, it says it won't download because of an unknown error! I'm very disappointed that I can't get TTR1 back!! Anyone have any help??? :(
@Alvareo - I'm aware of this, however when the price changes (i.e. price goes up as in TTR1), I think it will charge me the one dollar that I never paid because I got it when it was free. I've tried this with another app -- I got it when it was free and when I re-downloaded it when the price changed, I was charged.... ??????????

That's very weird! Maybe you purchased the app with other account or something, because no matter how many the price changes, you won't get charged. That's an App Store policy. That's why some times, apps are free for like two weeks and then they get paid, so people who bought them when they were free will never pay for them.
Oh and a suggestion: next time, don't use @[username] here, simply click that "Add a comment" link, so that people get an e-mail when you answer to them ;) -
