So how do you hold your iphone/ipod touch when playing ttr?
Personally I use both my thumbs to tap the notes with my right thumb tapping the middle. The problem with this is Its hard to do the shakes and then go back to taps so I have to turn shakes off. I also keep missing notes. I've tried with just one thumb but I miss a lot of notes like that, I've also tried using three fingers but I still miss notes. Just trying to get advice here so I can at least be in the top 20 leaderboard

Inappropriate?i turned the shakes off... i think that while interesting, it gets sort of old and akward... its fun, but just isnt prefect at some times and some places.
ive found that my best way of playing ttr is by holding it with both hands and using both thumbs..

Inappropriate?i usually hold my ipod in one and tap with my other hand's index finger. It works rather well but sometimes its hard on the extreme tracks when there is multiple dots. But most of the time when there is a lot you can still manage to hit them by going back and forth very quickly. I was number one on extreme track DJ4mile Canonfire and then moved down to 5th after a couple of days but for some reason my score is now deleted and im pretty disappointed about that. -

Inappropriate?For hard songs, I hold my iPod in my right hand and use my right thumb to tap, and for Extreme songs I do the same thing except for when there's a long lone of "bubbles". I set my iPod on my lap while holding it with my left hand, and tap with my right index finger. I personally think this is the best way, as it has helped me a lot.... Now I'm on about 23 leaderboards and currently place 2nd in online play. Hope this helps!1 Comment Add a comment

Brian can do the line with his friggin thumb...I don't understand how that's possible. He even has a video of him doing it. -

Inappropriate?I always hold the iPod with both hands. I tap with 2 thumbs and in TTD Extreme tracks with 2 thumbs and another finger. It's quite easy, I never miss a beat (:P) with that, sad enough TTR sometimes thinks I do... -

i hold my phone in both hands and tap with my thumbs, i tap the middle with my right thumb
but if its hard to play that way TTD, if there are coming more notes at the same time
so i try to lay my phone on the table and tap with more fingers, but if you can shake fpr revenge mode you have to pick the phone up, shake, lay it again and that really doesnt work
its hard but funny^^ -

Inappropriate?I hold my iPhone with my left hand and play it with three middle fingers of right hand. I play piano, so this seemed much more versatile way of playing. The only problem is that after an hour or so my right hand gets tired and I have kinda less "control" over my middle finger :D

This is exactly how I do it! :-) But I alter it slightly for the more extreme songs... See a video of me using this grip in my "Spin Me Round" FC video! (Search for Biblekid2inc on YouTube and you should easily find my channel. ;-)

I interlock my 4 fingers behind my iphone, grip the sides with the part of my hand where the fingers extend (dont know whats the name which is above the palm) and use 2 thumbs for 2 thumb stages. Piece of meat where index finger starts is above the iphone, the rest are below. Last finger from both hands grip the iDevice charging wire. For 3 fingers, DXChain grip -
Inappropriate?I used to use two thumbs. Now I only use two thumbs for playing Bloodmeat (it's the only way i can FC it with a high score) and I put my iPod down and use indexes for almost every other song. Sometimes I use beacheagle's grip. :P -

Inappropriate?For most songs 2 thumbs. Good for shakes an control. If extreme with 3 tappers, use left thumb and right index and middle .
