hey ed, i found something else, when i try to play online, it ALWAYS says, could not connect to tapulous live server, i just touch the option of "try again" and let me enter to a room, but why appear that message :S? u don't know about it? ( Delete or Edit)

You get to have all the Fun (does the youtube app work for you?) The only reason I'm not updating is that I heard that the 3.0 GM will LOCK your ipod/iphone into testing mode and you won't be able to update any more. ( Delete or Edit)

yep first youtube doesn't work, but just restarted the iPod and done :D and even if apple wont let u update directly from itunes in a future, just download the firmware from another source & u wont have anything to worry dude ;D ( Delete or Edit)

i recently jailbreak my ipod.. just to have the custom themes, i have downloaded "real racing" and then erase it to buy it... i wasn't going to pay 10 bucks for a game that i don't know, so i download it, and then i saw that i like, and then i bought it... apple should at least let you do that... or at least change the themes, that i was sick of the normal theme... now i'm happy... and i haven't download more than 2 apps, to erase then and then buy them... i don't see why apple could see that wrong...

and about the upgrade... they really should let us upgrade for free... it is just not fair to pay 10 bucks for something small like that... ( Delete or Edit)

If I wanted to subscribe to Apple, I would have gotten an iphone, not an ipod touch. Without the upgrade, future apps would be nigh on impossible to use, so unless I want a partially functional device I have to upgrade. A very bottled up and basic way of looking at it, is my used 2009 ipod touch has set me back ten bucks more than the brand new 2008 same model, which is just wrong. ( Delete or Edit)

BTW--this started after I updated to 3.0. Never did it before. I have an iPhone 3G. I have tried reinstalling both Apps and restarting my phone. After each--it still lags. ( Delete or Edit)

The way I see it is on my iPod Touch, I got 4 missed taps on Sh'es a Genius on extreme last play and 1 dropped shake. But im not willing to claim it's 3.0 just to point fingers..... I personally think it's a mix of inaccuracy with 3.0 software (accounting for maybe 1?) and then inaccuracy of the player (counting for the other 3). Dropped shakes can easily be human error...

So I don't count that really against it....

If I was rating TTR2, I guess Id make it 9/10 not 10/10 if you asked me about taps but nothing else....

Sorry to post again Ijust wnt to ntoe my thinking...

The game or 2 after this I ended with a score of 800,000+ and a streak of 608 and 17 (Menaing basically a perfect game). So because of that I dont believe it is 3.0 or 2.6 software, and that it's a tad of 3.0 AND a LOT of human Error that we just blame on sofware because we can.... ( Delete or Edit)

i really love TTR and i think the people at tapulous are doing a great job. i also think they are way better programmers than the ones at other companies that make games for the iPhone. however - i'm experiencing those dropped taps especially in TTR2.6.1 since the update to OS 3.0 - in gaga revenge, this problem is not there (maybe it is there but it's much better than it is for TTR 2.6.1)... i'm playing TTR since september 08 i think i know when it is me and when it is a problem with my system.

I completely understand where you are coming from and like i said I do at times experience them. In playing even more today, I noticed other things which includes that dropped taps ONLY happen either during a lag spike, or after... Before it always tends to be my error...

Something that may be worth being added to TTR3 is a "Free Memory" button like as can be found in Free Memory apps...

no, not really but it should be pretty easy to let the software run in a mode were all taps are triggered without having to touch the screen - they are the developers of that thing ;) ( Delete or Edit)

actually, is the 3.0 update. I have an iphone 1G too, and the dropped taps is very very frecuent. But, everything isn't bad... My app doesn't crash anymore, but never is NEVER. few days ago I played 5 hours aprox. between offline and online without a crash; so that's a great improvement. The only big problem is the constant dropped taps.

I concur that it is definetly the 3.0 OS and not TTR 2.61. I have found this version to be the smoothest of all but only after I was finally able to downgrade back to 2.2.1 OS (requires iTunes 8.001 to downgrade by the way). I use to have dropped taps on every song in hard and xtreme modes but now it rarely happens. I say downgrade and enjoy. ( Delete or Edit)

Can you get a pic? My only guess is to restart your device, when you double click in lets say Safari, it wil zoom in I guess about 5x, so that could have happened somehow? ( Delete or Edit)
