The accelerometer problem
From time to time, the arrows are stopping to work. After a reboot, the accelerometer in my iPhone (3GS) is working again, and I can hit the arrows.
Is this an hardware issue with the accelerometer in my iPhone, or a software thing in TTR3?
Or make it any differences, how I retain the iPhone?

Inappropriate?happens all the time for me on the touch 3g. reboot always helps.

Same -
Inappropriate?Happens to me, only all I do is quit and relaunch the app and it works.
-
Inappropriate?

Cumy, if you're curious
this is what she said...
Skandler that happens to me every now and again too. I just switch the iphone off for a while and it works again. of course, as far as i know, it is not possible to do so with jailbreak ;) -
lol yes ;)) Thanks for translating ;) -
LoooooL. Also das kapier ich jetzt nicht, was du da meinst. :-)
Ich war da NOCH auf. Ich hab ja Urlaub. :-) -
Is that like German? -
@Cumy Yes its german ;) -
at least it's not swiss german so I can understand it. :P -

Inappropriate?From what I understand it has to do with zeroing the accelerometers. Since Tap Tap gets its data from the OS, only a reboot fixes this.
-
maybe I have a different issue then. :0 but I don't worry -
Ed, there has to be an API to set a neutral position. Other apps are able to do it DURING gameplay (which is what TTR should do at the start of each game).
I think there's more to this issue than "zeroing the accelerometers" unless this means something other than setting a neutral position. If it refers to some aspect of the accelerometer hardware that is voltage (power state?) sensitive, I guess that would make more sense. FWIW, I too have found that rebooting is the only consistently reliable way to get them working again. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem on an jailbroken 3GS.
rebooting the app solves the problem!
rebooting the device is not necessery, so I assume its a ttr3 software problem.
(happens to me in online play about every 3 hours) -
Inappropriate?The problem ist, that you loose -21 online-points (when playing on expert rooms).
So, in one our playing TTR3 you loose more points than you earn. -
Inappropriate?A great solution where, if a missed arrow doesn't destroys you streak.
Missed arrow --> 0 points
