Twinkle app isn't updating my Twitter feed.

If Twitter is overloaded or the Twitter API is down, Twinkle continues to work on the Tapulous network. This is why you don't see Twitter updates during that time.

its not a sometimes thing. Its all the time for the last several days and I'm still able to post to Twitter on the twitter website and twitterrrific and loopt etc.. anything I post on those though don't show on Twinkle and anything I post on Twinkle doesn't show in twitter.

I think I had been having the same problem. If I looked at twitter online I could see 15 updates, but through twinkle, I'd only see maybe about 4-5 out of those 15. Not sure why. Going into twitter account settings in twinkle and entering in gibberish for the username and password, and then re-entering my account settings cleared the issue up.

Given a few users are reporting this one, we will look into it further. It is a challenge to bugtest a product that is built on top of Twitter, given Twitter's own service problems.

The problem is that I use Twinkle to update Twitter. If the tweet does not go through to Twitter I don't want it to go at all. Sending it just to tapulous network is no good for me.

I thought I had this problem and looked in the settings section. the switch for twitter was turned off. strange, i don't remember doing that. i turned it on and all seems fine now.

Argh! My Twitter switch got turned to "OFF" too. I wonder if that was from the server upgrade? I was wondering what was going on. I should have checked that sooner. :P

My Twitter is switched to "ON" but I don't see any of my friends Tweets on my home page...I am pretty much done with this app....oh well

I've been having this problem for a while. I don't get direct messages from Twitter, and my status updates don't post to Twitter. I want to talk to my friends, not just my location's feed.

I posted a ton of twinkles tonight including photos and none are on my Twitter account anywhere. I followed a couple of people as well. I can see my usual Twitter people posting in Twinkle and others posting Nearby.

ever since twinkle went down last night, i havent been able to look at my private messages from people. Nearby and home pages work fine, but private messages wont even load :(

i can only currently see the tweets done on the twinkle network, not the whole twitter network.

also... twinkle isnt integrating the friends ive made on twitter in my friends list.

I have linked my Twitter account in settings, yet nothing at all from Twitter appears on Twinkle. The only thing that seems to work is the nearby feed. Only installed this app for my Twitter feeds so I am going to get rid of it now.

Will reinstall if Twitter support is integrated.

I used the webpage to delete my old tapulous account so I could create one with the same ID as my twitter account.

Now, although I can see my twitter friend updates, my tweets do not propagate through to twitter system. I also cannot see my own tweets from twitter.

I've turned the Twitter setting on, but it doesn't seem to be sticky, and sometimes when I go back, just clicking Identity crashes Twinkle

i've been getting ZERO updates on twinkle for twitter or facebook. nothing new is showing up under the "tapulous" tab? what's the deal?

I found the only solution: Download and install Tweetie. Far superior product and it just works. Use the 'dark' theme for best results :)

This is the only guaranteed solution.

Yep! It helps cos it gives them a result which nobody (apparently not even Tapulous) can resolve :)
