Using twinkle on my iPod touch I am logged into twitter- My direct messages show up under "Messages" tab, but regular tweets do not show up on "Home tab." I just get a message up top that says "No messages yet. Are you following people?" Also cannot send tweets- get the following error: "Error / Unknown server error"

Inappropriate?I just downloaded twinkle today and have filled in my twitter info and I am having the same problems. It says I have no messages and asks me if i am following anyone. Also I get a "unkown server error" when I try to send a message.

Inappropriate? Our servers are being wrestled by grizzlies. Hopefully back to normal soon!
-
I was going to suggest that maybe the problem was due to the grizzlies you guys keep in the server room. -
Inappropriate? It's bad enough having to deal with how crappy Twitter's servers are--the idea of having to go through your crappy servers in addition is completely asinine.
You're asking a lot for people to deal with that extra overhead. You might want to re-think your process here. I know you're looking to expand to other services, but if they're all at the whim of your infrastructure + service infrastructure, it's going to make for a VERY unpleasant experience in the long run.
I’m annoyed

I hear you, Garrett, but we're trying to be as service-agnostic as possible.
Having our own infrastructure that posts to multiple third-party services is just one way we add value to our client software. It also lets you post photos and powers geolocation without a lot of hackery.
There are plenty of Twitter clients that talk to the Twitter API directly (we love @chockenberry and Twitterrific), and I don't hesitate to recommend those. Twinkle is just different :) -
I understand where you're trying to go with this, but I have to reiterate that I don't think you should hitch the whole thing on your own backend. In fact, I think in cases when your server is down, Twinkle should post directly to whatever service. That way, you can still have your cloud idea, but the app isn't reliant on it as heavily. -
That is actually in interesting idea Garret...if there is a way to allow Twinkle to directly utilize the API during your infrastructure downtime it could save some grumbling about downtime. Of course your other services during that downtime would be unusable but at least the basic "Twitter" experience would be still available. -
Inappropriate?Props to putting up with all the crap Chris. Too bad Apple is catching hell for building a completely bugged out iPhone OS update.

Inappropriate? This is happening to me after a reinstall of the application. I cannot enter my twitter credentials in the Twinkle setup without getting a login error (twitter is up)
I’m frustrated
