We need an MMS Application, done the Tapulous way...
The iPhone needs an MMS app BADLY. It seems that the only people putting out respectable iPhone applications is Tapulous. So, I think you guys should do it up! Do you know how many people want MMS for the iPhone? According to the latest CNET reports, 1.47 Bajillion people would sacrifice their neighbors unruly children for a chance to send a picture to another phone from their iPhone. Chances are that if someone comes out with it besides you guys that it will not work, will look ugly as sin, and probably have an branding like this:
However, if you guys were to do it... it could be a completely different experience than any other MMS application ever. I'm sure that you guys could innovate so much on the simple MMS concept and create something truly stunning! Just looking at the applications you guys have already put out there it is easy to see that there is no short supply of creativity in your development labs. There could be social features to it, or flipping the phone up like a paddle ball to send the message flying to its recipient. Integrated camera feature, threaded MMS messages, favorites, flickr, friendbook and twinkle integration, the possibilities are fantastic.
I'm sure you guys wont do it... but still, i just thought i'd mention what a brilliant idea it is.

Inappropriate?lol -- excellent icon. I'm not even sure at this point that MMS would be technically possible for a third party developer to do. I'll ask around :)
-
i sure hope it is. Its definitely a market that nobody has pursued on the iPhone. -
I'm pretty sure it's not possible for anyone but Apple to write an MMS app for iPhone, not in the way that anyone would want it to work. Twinkle is as close as we're likely to get to MMS :) -
Inappropriate? Its not even sending MMS but receiving those suckers thats a pain in the behind. I know we can email pruuty pix but well, I just get these suckers and then have to click a link, enter a code ( which I have to jot down on a freakin piece of paper because my super duper iPhone can't do copy and paste! ) to actually see it @ the web because my %&/"§$/%&/%"§ iPhone is unable to just display it as its ment to be...
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I just felt like this idea needed another kick up the ladder of truth... Afterall, this is 'getsatiisfaction' right?
I’m submitting my icon to Apple Design Awards.

Inappropriate?I think they should first wait till Apple has released FW 2.1, for things like this (and tbh Twinkle too) we need the push service from "the cloud", so we receive an mms just like a normal sms.
I’m excited
-
Inappropriate?Wanna have that from ya Guys! Agree that they should wait until 2.1 has arrived cause of the really fu!*$% Buginess of 2.0 ^^
PS. Twinkle Rocks the House ;)
I’m too excited :b

Inappropriate? No access to the Baseband, but at the same time you could probably set up some sort of pseudo mms gateway based on people's tapulous ID's. Maybe assign a pseudo phone number for people like IP phones have. There is a web application for sending SMS messages over wifi that allows the recipient to respond because it does something like what i described above. With the Push notification service this would become a very plausible solution.

^ I am not affiliated, just wanted to let you guys know a method this UK company is using that could easily be translated/migrated into a native app.
and as a shameless plug for myself I invite you guys to check out my WiFi SMS webapp Krypton... http://krypton.durgle.com
I’m hoping somebody does this.
