What are your favorite tap tracks & why?
Which songs have your favorite tap tracks, regardless of whether or not you like the music? Also, why do you like the tap track? Does the timing accurately follow your perception of the music?
My current favorites are:
Rocket (Extreme)
Without You (Hard)
Hey You (Hard)
The Yeah Song (Hard)
Don't Trust Me (Hard)
Funny The Way It Is (Hard)
Around The Bend (Hard - should be classified Medium)
37 Stitches (Extreme - should be classified Hard)
I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho, Extreme)
Pandajero (Extreme)
Freak-A-Zoid (Extreme)
Never Miss A Beat (Yuksek Remix, Hard)
Double Down Under (Extended Remix, Extreme - should be classified Hard)
Night Falls (Extreme)
Phantom Pt. II (Soulwax Remix, Extreme)
Electricity (Extreme)
Girls of Prey (Extreme)
Omen (Extreme)
Rude Boy Come Test (Extreme)
A Fact of Life (Extreme)
I think these are all reasonably accurate & fun to play. I like how the arrows/shakes are mixed in Omen & Pandajero. Phantom Pt. II goes a little overboard with arrows in spots & I'm still not convinced it doesn't have a few errors, but I'm not quite good enough to say for sure yet.
I see the dropped tapper issue fairly regularly in Girls of Prey & 37 Stitches even though the tap tracks seems accurate visually. Some, like Hey You, The Yeah Song, Don't Trust Me, & Funny The Way It Is, aren't necessarily very challenging but are just fun to play. I also have to admit that as I improve, I do like the challenge of more difficult songs like Rude Boy Come Test, A Fact of Life, Freak-A-Zoid, & the totally messed up Gives You Hell (Extreme).
I really enjoy the tap tracks in Rocket, Without You, Omen, & Electricity, mostly just because they are pretty active & follow traits of the music I like. There aren't very many songs I really dislike. I do wish it were easier to describe why I like or dislike various tap tracks. An elapsed-time timer would help to reference particular portions of a song.

Inappropriate?Tap Tap Tap (Extreme) - Loads of fun, fast and challenging
Lungs like Gallows (Extreme) - Just a good song and fun to play.
Gives you Hell (Extreme) - Do I need to explain?
Losin' It (Hard) - Lots of Taps, very good beat and lots of fun
Fact of Life (Extreme) - Fast and fun
Rum is for Drinking not for Burning (Extreme) - Good song, Great Tap Track
No Stars Over Bethlahem (Extreme) - Fun song, lots of fast tapping.
I pretty much like every song, except Double Down Under and Gettin Up. . to name a few. -
Inappropriate?Tap Tap Tap (Extreme) - I can't switch grips fast enough between my normal 2 thumbs & 3 fingers as necessary. I also really don't like the music at all which doesn't help.
Rum is for Drinking Not for Burning (Extreme) - My thumbs just refuse to cooperate with those sequences of double-taps that move across the lanes. I've tried it quite a few times & just can't get my thumbs to tap twice & cover two lanes at the same time. It seems like an accurate track though.
I forgot to mention that I also see dropped taps more often on Eenie Meanie (Extreme). It doesn't really seem to follow the music in a very interesting way, but I still like playing it. It's also short, which is a nice change sometimes too.
There are quite a few songs I haven't even tried yet but I think I've hit most of the Hard & Extreme. Some I've still only played once or twice, so I'm still undecided. I have to play some songs more like 4 or 5 times before I find the instruments/sounds the tappers are tracking in some sections. That alone makes it sort of a puzzle & more interesting.
I wonder if a good or bad tap track could actually influence music sales? My guess is YES! On the other hand, there are some songs I love tapping to, but probably would never listen to otherwise. -
Inappropriate?Yay another off topic of satisfaction! xD
