You know what? I have a really good Tap Tap Revenge 3 question that I'd like to know about Tapulous points and coins??
You know how when you end a song, you get your points and your coins in the game results page.
You also get your points and coins if you press End Game from the pause menu during gameplay.
Now I'd like to know, if you play a song, and you decide to press the restart button from the pause menu during gameplay, do you still get those points and coins credited? Or you have to actually get to that results page?

Inappropriate?I think you do not get any points or coins if you simply hit the 'restart' button in the pause menu. The xp points and coins seem to be converted from your score only at the final results screen.
I remember this one time when I was trying to FC a particular song and kept stumbling midway and thus opted to hit the 'restart' over and over. When I finally FC'ed the song, the xp points and coins gained from that period of play was just that of the successful playthrough.
From then on, if I feel that I have to restart a song that I had already accumulated a meaty enough score to be converted to xp points and coins, I will 'end' the song to claim them first, then hit the 'replay' button from that screen. Only takes 5 or so seconds more than hitting the 'restart' button. -
Inappropriate?Right - when you hit restart, it starts over that current run in the fastest and cleanest way possible. It doesn't send any data to us, it just reloads the game you're playing.
If you want to get credit, you'd have to hit end game and retry.7 Comments Add a comment

BUT that would mean it WON'T be the "fastest and cleanest" way possible since there would be calculations involved...

Well, I don't think we'll add that -- because restart means you're starting over... coins and points are intended for game progress, and you shouldn't get credit for starting over...
