a rest connector?
What about a rest connector? This way as a developer i could connect with anything. I'm not talking about the restDecoder but a "restOutput connector...?". I could insert the service url and the connector could just post a blob of data to it...?

I'm happy to say that we finally implemented a REST connector. This connector is now available to anyone but still on testing mode.

This connector will post a JSON encoded string to the URL provided to the serviceUrl input. This behavior was chosen for its compatibility with the Yahoo! Pipes Web Service module (http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/docs?doc...).
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Thanks for the feedback voxmachina,
We're actually working on this for some time now and we'll be releasing it soon. We'll let you know when it becomes available. -

This REST connector is COOL. However, my use case is sending data to a Yahoo! Pipe, and the response (if you ask for JSON) comes in a format where the JSON has 'count' and a 'value' fields, rather than the 'items' field that this connector expects. I think this means that I can't use this connector directly with a Yahoo! Pipe.
Any thoughts? -
Inappropriate?Would it be possible to show an example workflow using the REST connector. What I want to achieve is the ability to use this connector to send images to places such as mobypicture or tweetphoto.

I wrote a short blog post on the REST connector that you might find useful. http://www.pipetree.com/qmacro/blog/2...
