Safari 4 no longer works!
I just upgraded to Safari 4 and got the message "The application Safari quit unexpectedly. The problem may have been caused by the TastyAppsPlugin plug-in".. I uninstalled Videobox, removed the com.tastyapps.avplugin.plist file and other associated files I could find. I also looked in Library/ Internet Plug-Ins folder for the culprit, but couldn't find a TastyAppsAVPlugin. Can you help?

Inappropriate?Hello Steven !
The plugin is located in ~/users/your username/library/application support/simbl/plugins.
However, if you download the current version at www.tastyapps.com and install it over your existing version, it *should* fix your problem.
Good luck !
I’m confident

Thank you very much for the fast response!!
Safari now works, but Videobox crashes. I uninstalled the previous version and installed the current one.
Kind regards,
Steven

Donald, thanks for your help on this... 3 hours later... i finally fixed it :-/ the latest build on www.tastyapps.com has been updated with the fixed version. -
Inappropriate?I also have this issue. I have uninstalled Videobox and reinstalled it and neither Safari or Videobox will open. I hope this is fixed soon as I am currently unable to use two programs. Any fix out there?

Inappropriate?Ok I got it to work by first down loading the application ( do not install ) Close browser. Trash videobox in applications and the plug-in located in ~/users/your username/library/application support/simbl/plugins as described at the start of the thread. Now install the new videobox and restart safari. That should get it ..at least it worked for me.
I’m groovey

Inappropriate?Hey Folks...
Wow... Apple released a new version of Safari today at around 3:30 EST, and even though Videobox worked with the beta... it had issues with that new release of Safari. So... its now almost 9:00... but we managed to fix it :-)
I've uploaded a new version on the webiste. So the solution for everybody is simply to (re-)download the latest version of our app on our website, and run it so the plugin also gets upgraded.
If ever people need to manually remove the plugin - it's quite simple really:
1) Quit Safari and Videobox.
2) In the Finder, hit Apple-Shift-G and type-in ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins
3) In the folder that opens-up, there should be a TastyAppsAVPlugin.bundle file; please move it to the trash.
If anybody is still having problems.. feel free to email me at customer-service@tastyapps.com
Sorry for the trouble guys & gals, we started coding the moment the new Safari build was released - we try to stay on top of things.
I’m relieved.

Inappropriate?I can confirm that simply updating to Videobox 2.8.4 will fix (for me) the problem with both Safari 4 and Videobox crashing.
Had been running the Safari 4 Beta since the day it was announced, along with Videobox (LOVE Videobox!) without any problems with either app.
Much thanks to the Tasty Apps crew for being on top of this!
I’m happy
