Just had a quick idea, to help combat the negative effects of the newest changes to Tatango, referencing the free service links instead of actual messages.
How about a limit of 8 messages per month. This would be great for lower quantity users, like our youth group, that only send out a max of 2 messages per week. This will keep customers using the free service, and people would still remember Tatango for their needs, when their groups expand, and they start looking for premium services in group messaging.
I use Tatango infrequently, to announce our monthly meetings. I will not pay for this service, not because I don't think you should charge, but I will find a work around for my minor usage.
Very cool idea. I have been playing around with a similar app for the iPhone but having a web interface is quite nice. Keep developing. This can definitely be fleshed out to some cool stuff. NICE scalable model you have here.
Tatango is such an impressive company - I've shared your services many times over the past year. PLEASE go back to some sort of ad-based free texting. It's brilliant - we care - and we love your company. Maybe you could send out one advertising message for every one free text. If I send my group 10 free texts in a year, you sell 10 free advertising messages to their cell phones. Might that work?
Some text messages seem to come in and other messages leave a web link. Are these texts or voice messages? How come they dont open up when visiting the posted web link?
With the changes you have implemented I have people dropping out of my groups like flies. Having to go to a website to pick up their message is cumbersome.
1) I would like to send a longer text, like 200 or 300 characters. It seems that every place I look has a limit of 150 characters in sending a text from the computer. 2) I like the idea of sending a mass text to my church group. I'd like to have a system where people could sign up to the group with a link on the website.
Ok question about the text-in feature. When I first signed up, there was an option to send my own reply to people who joined with the keyword...before the one you send verifying whether people want to use tatango. How can I edit that message? I am having a hard time finding the screen that lets me do that on the website...Let me know!
I really dislike the change you made to your free package. I would've appreciated some sort of notice of the change, especially considering how big of a change it was. Oh well, time to start looking for a better alternative.
If you go over the # of messages you subscribed to, does it automatically bump you to the next subscription level? Or will it stop sending messages out?
I can't see a way to cancel this thing. PLEASE CANCEL!! I wanted to use it with my students, but they can't get online to see a text message so this service is useless.
I would like to be taken off your text messaging list immediately!!!!!!!!!! For what ever group. I have never signed up and I do not wish to join. I do not know how you got my number. My number is 9593434376
Your subscription sucks, I'm very disappointed and really want to consider stopping using this. The prices are re-fraking-diculous, I'm not paying that much and I pity whoever does get suckered in your stupid scheme.
If you use this company's products or services, we'll add the company to your dashboard. If you work for this company, we'll add you as an employee. Got it, thanks!
