Is it TeeBeeDee or me
Every time I try to get on to TeeBeeDee, I get a page that says TeebeeDee is down for maintenance. I'm still getting TeeBeeDee messages and invites, so I'm wondering if TeeBeeDee really has been down for the last three days or is there something wrong with my computer.
If this has been a known computer issue does anyone know how to fix it?

Inappropriate?TBD had an almost-24-hour outage that began Thursday night February 26 as we moved to a new hosting service and were not able to resume service as planned until late Friday. While we have some continued performance issues since Friday night, the "site maintenance page" has only been up for brief periods since then, and none today (Monday). Unless you happened to hit during those brief periods, I suspect the page is cached. Hit refresh, and/or clear your cache and that should solve it.
-
Inappropriate?Nope that's not it. I've just tried typing in the URL without my bookmark link. I just now tried refreshing when i got to the page. I'm still getting the down for maintenance page.
Could it be an issue with Firefox? Think I'll try entering through Internet explorer and see what happens.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? The engineers have confirmed - we are not serving the "site down for maintenance page." Your response doesn't make it clear to me, did you clear your cache? You may need more than a simple refresh.
-
Inappropriate?I've cleared the cache a few times now. got the page to load normally once but when I tried to log in it went back to that "down for maintenance" page.
I know it has to be some setting on my computer.
I just don't know which one it could be.
The odd thing is TeeBeeDee is the only web site giving me problems
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? Can you tell us, TrippiHippy how, exactly, you're clearing your cache? Did you do it on both Firefox and IE? Sorry to sound redundant, I just want to see if we can eliminate possibilities. Thanks.
-
Inappropriate?I did clear the cache on both IE and Firefox using the tools function on both.
Basically I cleared all my private data, everything not just cookies and offline content.
I'm starting to think the cache has nothing to do with it.
This is a brand new refurbished computer so there is no telling what my issue is.
The thing that gets me is only TBD seems to be affected by the problem (I believe it started Friday night) and I have a group to attend to there with over 550 members.(Dates from Hell)
TBD has become a basic part of my daily routine and now I cant log on.
I seem to be the only one with this issue though so maybe there is no helping me. -
Inappropriate? Now when I try to load TBD I get this error message.
HTTP ERROR: $CODE$
$MESSAGE$
RequestURI=/
That started sometime within the last four hours I would say
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I attempted to try getting in through an invite I recieved and this is what I got.
Not Found
The requested URL /viewInvitation.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. -
Inappropriate? We really are trying to understand how this can be happening to you. Can you specify what operating system you are running (we assume it's a version of windows since you mention IE but we need to know what version of Windows exactly) and the version of IE and Firefox that you are using. Thanks.
-
Inappropriate?Sure no problem.
My OS is Windows XP Pro
I have Firefox 3
I also have Opera 9.64
and of course IE 7 -
Inappropriate?I attempted to get in through a friend resqest and this is what I got
HTTP ERROR: $CODE$
$MESSAGE$
RequestURI=/viewInvitation.html?memberId=155200
I don't know if any of the information I've been giving you is helpful or not
I'm hoping that is is as nobody seems to know why I cant view the site, but it seems I'm not the only one who has had this problem since last weekend.
Most people can indeed see the website just fine, while some of us just cant no matter what we try.
next week I'll attempt to reformat my computer and see if that does anything. -
Inappropriate?I am so sorry you are having this problem. How do you know other people can't get into TBD? We don't have reports of that, but of course it could be because they've just given up.
-
Inappropriate?Well I reformatted my computer and did manage to get back on to TBD for about an hour, Then I went about my business doing other thing.
What I attempted to get back on to TBD I got the same error message again.
HTTP ERROR: $CODE$
$MESSAGE$
I no longer get the Down for maintenance page at all.
I have no idea what causing it to happen again.
I also had issues with Ebay and settings on my computer which was why I opted to reformat.
The ebay issue seems to be resolved but for some reason TBD wont stay resolved.
Also, I'm not positive the reformat was a good idea on my part as Windows now takes about 15 minuets to shut down when it didn't before.
After posting my woes to yahoo answers I was contacted by a woman who claims to be having the same problem along with her mother who also has a Dell computer(not sure if that's relevant)
She directed me to a web page that stated that there is w new virus that attacks social networks but the one mentioned the most was facebook.
TBD was not mentioned.
I was then shown a message board that was full of people who complain that neither Facebook or ebay is working for them, although the error message they seem to be getting differs from mine i have to assume this has to be the same issue I'm dealing with.
At this point I'm considering taking my computer to be looked at as most of what I do on my computer involves TBD and ebay.
