Inappropriate?Wow! 17 days and no responses! I submitted claims but never received the email with additional information that was supposed to be coming. Should it take more than 2-3 weeks for these claims to go through?
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? My blog is being indexed by Google and Bing and it only took a week. Come on guys!

Inappropriate? Please can you index my blog again? It has authority 1 and I can't update the information from the Site Details (the system doesn't save it)
This has been going on for weeks

I’m disappoined

Inappropriate?A thick person has entered the building - er - is it just me or is this site a nightmare? Why isn't there a simple link on the front/home page saying 'claim your blog here'. Am I missing something? I did say I was thick...
I’m confused and frustrated

until we get the process working a lot better, it's probably not a good idea to advertise too much....but you can start your claim from the account page(technorati.com/account when you're logged in). It's in the green bar under "My claimed blogs" -
Inappropriate?really, deb, couldn't agree more.
-
Inappropriate?Yes, it is taking weeks (> month for some) to process claims, and no, we don't think that's acceptable. I expect things will getter noticeably better over the next few weeks, but it may be a bit longer before the process is really working smoothlly.

Inappropriate?Hi, Yes now the technorati needs 1 - 2 weeks to send the claim code. I received my technorati claim token today for my blog http://SagarRai.com
And I also submitted my another blog http://NicheMarket.sagarrai.com onto technorati. So hoping to receive the claim token shortly. -
Technorati should be sending out claim codes within minutes of claiming now. The long delay is over. -
The simplest approach is to create a new post with the token in it, and publish it. Once you see the message "We have successfully crawled your blog and found the claim token," you can delete that post. -
Inappropriate? But those people who subscribed to my RSS will get the post and the token code??
-
Inappropriate?Yes, Altaee, unfortunately that is true.
-
OK, I made a post but nothing happen to the claim till now -
Inappropriate?Altaee, I see the claim token in your feed now, so if you visit http://technorati.com/account/claim/3... and click the "Update Site Feed URL" button, we should recrawl your feed and find the token.
I hope that helps! -
I did but still getting: Nov 25, 2009. We could not find the claim token in any posts in your feed. Please make sure that you have entered it correctly in a post body and that the token appears in the feed whose URL you have given us.
On my email: This is an automatically-generated email.
Thank you for submitting your blog claim on Technorati. Unfortunately, we have encountered a problem reading your site's data. Please log into technorati.com and go to http://technorati.com/account/ to update any necessary site information and continue the claim process. -
Inappropriate?Altaee, now the post containing your token is gone. It was there when I checked earlier.
You'll need to have the token present in your feed: http://altaeeblog.com/feed/ and *then* submit the form. -
Inappropriate? It is there but moved to old date ;)
Shall I keep waiting? -
Inappropriate?Altaee, it's not "there" unless it can be seen in this feed, which seems to only show your five most recent posts: http://altaeeblog.com/feed/
When you can see that token at that address, like I could earlier when the post was dated 9:27am today, then the claim will work. If you can't see that token at that address, neither can our crawlers.
I hope that's more clear. -
Inappropriate?Phillip..maybe you can help me too.
I have been trying to claim my blog. Like others I get a message and email saying
Thank you for submitting your blog claim on Technorati. Unfortunately, we have encountered a problem reading your site's data. Please log into technorati.com and go to http://technorati.com/account/ to update any necessary site information and continue the claim process.
My RSS feed works..it is feeding LinkedIn and it is feeding a Squidoo lens
I have tried providing
http://www.satisfactionsecrets.com/feed/
http://www.satisfactionsecrets.com/fe....
http://feeds.feedburner.com/CustomerS...
My claim code is at the top and bottom of the article posted at
http://www.satisfactionsecrets.com/cu...
This article is in my RSS Feed..it is the first one.
I put the code as a piece of text. Am I supposed to put some html around the code?
I tried once before to do this many months ago...but at the time I had an error in my RSS feed (https..instead of http) so maybe I have an old attempt and it is blocking me because my old attempt was not deleted.
This is very frustrating, so I hope you can help me.

Hello, adelemarmer,
Your feed is the rare type that provides descriptions of the articles rather than actual snippets or the full article copy. As Phillip described above, we need to find the claim code in the feed, in an article body. -
Inappropriate?TechnoEric
The Feed is using the excerpt from my blog entry (wordpress). So if I put the code in the Excerpt, it should show up in my feed. I tried it. I put the code in my Excerpt and I can see it in my feed. Let's see if that works.
Thanks
Adele
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Hi TechnoEric
That seems to have worked! The message I received now is
Thank you for submitting your blog claim on Technorati. We have successfully crawled your blog and found the claim token, and your claim is now awaiting review.
I am not sure exactly what the review process is but I have at least succeeded in being found.
May I suggest that the instructions for 'how to claim' your blog include the fact that if you are you using the 'excerpt' function of the wordpress blog, that you put the claim code there maybe in addition to the body of the post.
I realize I may be 'rare' (I don't know why my RSS feed is 'rare'..maybe because I actually use the Excerpt function) but it might help others having trouble getting 'claimed'
Now that I have been found..can I take out the code from the Excerpt? or the Blog post?
Thanks TechnoEric...I spent a day yesterday trying to find out why this wouldn't work and one line from you gave me the hint I needed.
I very much appreciate your help.
Adele
I’m thankful
-
you're very welcome. And thank you for explaining the Excerpt function -- I guess most of the blogs I see use the first paragraph or so as the excerpt, as that's by far the most common case I see for feeds that don't include the full article. -
Inappropriate?TechnoEric, my blog has been awaiting review for about 10 days. How long does that process normally take?
http:www.terryberry.com/blog -
Here is the status for my blog www.marcmgraham.wordpress.com: Dec 04, 2009. We have successfully crawled your blog and found the claim token, and your claim is now awaiting review.
TechnoEric, please confirm there is nothing else I need to do and let me know how long I should expect this review process to take? Thanks! -

Inappropriate?I have read the thread -- can you tell me if I can put my claim code in an already posted post by editing the post with the code and re-posting? (Also, if I do this will it resend the post in my rss I am using blogger?)
And, do I just put the code anywhere in the post, with nothing around it?
Thank you. -
in an old post is fine, as long as the claim code is visible in your current feed. So use a recent post.
Just plain text in the post is fine -
Inappropriate? My experience with technorati has been so poor for so long, I do not understand how this company can claim to offer "authority" services at all. While our site is relatively new, we are now receiving over 1,000 visitors/day - yet our blog cannot be found and we have been trying for over 6 months to get listed. On Dec 1st we received notice that the blog had been crawled and it would be reviewed, but I believe the 10-20 hours we have spent trying to get this to work have been a waste.
-
Inappropriate?Techno Eric, can you help me out please? I'm trying to claim www.spursfansays.com. I keep getting this message: We were unable to parse the feed URL you provided. Please verify the URL and try validating the feed at http://validator.w3.org/feed/
I verify the site, and I even did the technorati claim post, but yet it still isn't working.
