My blogs have vanished from Technorati!
Both my blogs have vanished from Technorati, despite one of them (LivingwithKids) having several links. Please can you tell me what's happened to the, and whether I need to reclaim them?!

Inappropriate? My claimed blogs have also disappeared, as has my picture. Tecnorati's "upgrade" was pretty horrible.

Hi Rebecca,
We have your blog: http://technorati.com/blogs/reviews.r... but are having some trouble getting some claims to display on profile pages, so it doesn't seem to appear on http://technorati.com/people/rebeccar.... We're working on this. -
Inappropriate?Hi Liz,
I think your blogs are appearing prperly now? You've claimed them with two different accounts, it looks like:
http://technorati.com/people/kidstart09
http://technorati.com/people/LizJarvis
-
Inappropriate? No they're two different blogs. The first one is www.kidstart.co.uk/livingwithkids and the second is liz.jarvis.blogspot.com.
It's the first one (LivingwithKids) that doesn't have the right image - it should be what you see when you go on to www.kidstart.co.uk/livingwithkids, instead, for some reason it's coming up as what you see if you go on to www.kidstart.co.uk ....
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Sorry, I meant they've no longer vanished from Technorati.
Our thumbnail service is only capturing the top level of URLs for some reason ( so www.kidstart.co.uk) ... we're looking into that -
Inappropriate?Sorry just to clarify: liz.jarvis.blogspot.com is absolutely fine.
www.kidstart.co.uk/livingwithkids should appear as it does if you log in to www.kidstart.co.uk/livingwithkids. Instead it's appearing as the homepage of www.kidstart.co.uk
Hope that makes sense! -
Inappropriate?Oh yes, that's right, they're both there now, it's just the thumbnail thing. Just when you have a minute, no rush!
-
Hi, mklar -- it looks like we have your blog now: http://technorati.com/blogs/kronikle.... -
Inappropriate? My blog has also vanished, it is still somewhere on Technorati but not under my claim anymore.
I had to claim it again...
My profile pics and infos are gone to.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?one of my blogs vanished - www.tarasviewoftheworld.com - but my other blog is still around -www.tarasviewonbooks.blogspot.com -... very weird.
I’m confused
-
Looks like we've picked up View of the World properly now: http://technorati.com/blogs/www.taras...
But I don;t see a claim record for this in the old system - did you ever claim it? -
Inappropriate? My blog has lost practically all of its authority - www.mrlondonstreet.blogspot.com - and I seem unable to ping it any more. Is this going to be fixed?
I’m frustrated
-
looks like we're including this properly now: http://technorati.com/blogs/www.mrlon... -
Inappropriate? My blog has disappeared, too: www.publicschoolinsights.org. Even when it was registered on the site, it hadn't updated my authority for well over a year--despite my best efforts. How do I get my blog back?
I’m frustrated
-
Claus, we're investigating this problem where claims are not appearing on the account or profile pages, although they do appear on the blog details page: http://technorati.com/blogs/www.publi... -
Claus, I believe this issue has been fixed - your blog appears on yor public profile page now.
http://technorati.com/people/clausvz -
Inappropriate? My blog has disappeared, too: www.lookcloser.es
-
I'm looking into this, Miguel. It should be at http://technorati.com/blogs/www.lookc... but it isn't. -
And then where is it? -
Well, it's there now so the problem seems to have been resolved. I'm not sure why ShrinkTheWeb (our thumbnail provider) says your domain is invalid, it may be that it doesn't serve .es domains.
However, I regret to tell you that with the redesign, Technorati has narrowed its focus to English blogs. You can still claim non-English blogs, and when we fix the problem with saving blog info (see http://getsatisfaction.com/technorati...) you will be able to update your info, but we will not be indexing your posts, and links from non-English blogs will not contribute to authority. Being unable to filter non-English spam and plagiarism, we found we were unable to properly assign authority and popularity from non-English links. This is discussed at http://getsatisfaction.com/technorati... -
Inappropriate? My blog http://looseleafnotes.com has disappeared too and I can't seem to log on. Can anyone help?
-
I don't see a blog claim record for that blog on the old Technorati? -
Inappropriate?I have reset my password but can't remember my user name, have tried all the variations I can think of and none of them work.
-
Colleen, I assume you used the "Forgot Password" functionality on the login page to reset your password? The email you got should have the user name in the subject line. -
Inappropriate? Thanks. So the subject line in the email I got verified my user name. I got a new password and used that user name and it still won't let me on. I even tried to sign up all new but got a message saying my email is already in use (by me, I figure).
I reset my password to the one I want to use but thought maybe it would only work for this getsatisfaction site, since it didn't work on the technorati site. So now I have another new temporary one, I guess. -
These different sites can be confusing, but if you were able to set the password that you chose than either you were signing up a new Technorati account, were logged into Technorati, or were working on a different site. The Forgot Password tool on http://technorati.com/account/login/ doesn't let you choose the password.
Trying to figure out what's wrong with the password you got. If you get ANOTHER password email, go ahead and try that one. -
Inappropriate?I must have set my password just for this site then. I did just get a new password for technorati but I still couldn't get on. I'll look for a new one in my email. Hope you can determine what's wrong.
-
Inappropriate? The new one you sent worked! That's a good start. Now I have to figure out how to resubmit my blog.
-
Actually, I didn't do anything - I think it was just normal email delays, so you reset our password and then tried one from an earlier email (which had just been reset to something else).
You don't need to reclaim your blog - if it was claimed, it still is, and were working on fixing those cases where the claim doesn't show up. -
Inappropriate?Hi Eric,
Before I read your response, I was logged on to Technorati so I tried to submit a new claim for my blog. My blog http://looseleafnotes.com had been listed on the site for four years but I can't remember if I ever "claimed it." I think I did but can't be sure because it's been so long and I'm not sure how claiming differs from submitting a blog. On the claim form, I was not able to fill in the RSfeed url because I don't have one and I don't know how or where to get one. -
Hi Colleen,
Your feed URL is http://www.looseleafnotes.com/notes/a...
If you go to you blog home page and look in your browser's URL bar (where it says http://looseleafnotes.com/), there's an icon at the right end of that text window. If you click it, it offers and Atom feed, RSS 1.0 feed, and RSS 2.0 feed. We like Atom but can use RSS too. -
Inappropriate?I never knew that was there! I'm a writer without a lot of tech no logic. So I don't have to do anything to get an RSS or Atom feed? Does having one mean that readers can subscribe to my blog feed and that the get notices in their emails when I update?
-
Your feed actually contains most of the contents of your blog posts. There are software feed-readers that you can use on your own computer as well as online services like Google Reader. They will regularly check for updates and tell you when you have something new to read, and you can read it right there, or click through to the original blog or news source. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for explaining about the feeds. Would you have a ideas on why my blog is not showing up and how I can get it to again?
-
looks like it's been included in our ongoing updates: http://technorati.com/blogs/looseleaf... -
Is that a new development? How does that differ from being listed in the way I was before, where someone could search for my blog and Technorati listed who has linked to me. I still come up empty when I google my blog on the site and I don't know how to access the ongoing updates page, other than using the link you provided. Thanks for keeping me updated. -
the list of "Blog Reactions" (who linked to you) was not included in the new site yet but should be reappearing in the near future. -
So at that time I or anyone will be able to use the technorati search engine to find my blog and it will come up (it doesn't now)? -
it comes up if you search for looseleafnotes
Blog Search is having trouble with URLs -- we're working on it, and making progress. -
Oh, I just noticed that too. I look forward to having it working as it did before. Thanks for your help. -
Inappropriate? My blog dissapeared from my profile. I tried to claim it again but it just doesn't show...
http://cronicadelviento.blogspot.com/
I’m frustrated
-
I'm not sure yet what the problem is here. Your blog is included in Blog Search (technorati.com/search?return=sites&q=cronicadelviento) but the site details page will not display. I've seen a handful of other cases like this and am trying to figure out the cause of the problem. -
It looks like your blog details page is displaying properly now (http://technorati.com/blogs/http%3A//...)
I see Technorati has really narrowed its view of the blogosphere and of the world. One more reason to close my account with you forever. Thanks for letting me know. -
Inappropriate?I have the same issues, and have not received a reply to my query via the help/support page. How can Technorati make the performance claims that it does in regard to blogs, networking, and such and let this failure continue as it has?
Also note that my Technorati ranking/authority has fallen to what is essentially the rating for a new blog - and mine draws thousands of readers/month.

Inappropriate?Ditto here. Have been blogging for about 6 months. Technorati listed my blog - beatschindler.com - till a couple of weeks ago, then zip. I submitted a reclaim 10 days ago, nothing, still missing.
My WP Updates Services [Ping list] includes: http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping
My RSS Feeder link location: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/BeatSchi...
Anything I can or must change or do at my end?
Thanks!
I’m peeved
-
Inappropriate?A lot of information has also disappeared from my profile page. Also some of my blogs are no longer showing under my claimed blogs.
Not at all happy.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?I'm also having this problem with my blog (www.arturogoga.com). Now not only has my profile picture been lost, but the authority has dropped to 1! I can login with no problems, though.
Here's the link: http://technorati.com/blogs/arturogog...

I'm sorry, Arturo, but with the redesign Technorati has narrowed its focus to English blogs. Inappropriate?Authority dropped to 1 too, and I'm getting several links from other blogs as usual (I had around 40 authority before the changes).
Also, I'm unable to update the site information from the Edit Site Info (the system doesn't save my changes, I tried several times)
This has been going on for weeks

I'm sorry, Albert, but with the redesign Technorati has narrowed its focus to English blogs. Inappropriate? My blog has vanished from Technorati as well, after being there for 5 years:
http://omniverse.blogspot.com/
I’m bummed
-
Inappropriate? My blog, http://kittywampus.wordpress.com, has also dropped down to an authority of 1, and none of the content shows up. I can't see a way to display the authority in any detail.
My blog still shows up as claimed by me, but that's the only thing that's not broken.
I’m frustrated and annoyed.
-
Inappropriate?Hi, Yes now the technorati needs 1 - 2 weeks to send the claim code. I received my technorati claim token today for my blog http://SagarRai.com
And I also submitted my another blog http://NicheMarket.sagarrai.com onto technorati. So hoping to receive the claim token shortly.
