The checkbox in the hyperspaces menubar menu always has a check next to the first desktop, no matter what desktop you're using.

Inappropriate?It sounds like something has come unhooked internally in Hyperspaces. Can you please tell me two things:
- What build are you running? (You can check by going the Hyperspaces menu and choosing "About Hyperspaces")
- In your Console (/Applications/Utilities/Console.app) are there any entries relating to Hyperspaces? If so, can you paste them back here?
Generally problems of this nature can be solved (for the moment) by quitting and re-opening Hyperspaces.
