I'll try to figure this out for the next beta - my guess is that Hyperspaces is just setup better than Photoshop. The easy remedy is to get info on a Photoshop document, set it to open using Photoshop again and then click the button labelled "Change All...". This will reset all your documents to open with Adobe Photoshop, and not Hyperspaces.
