Hyperspaces not working? Latest version of OSX
I have just downloaded the newest free version. I am not able to get it working. I have the latest version of OSX and have installed it right to my application folder... How can I get this working?

Inappropriate?Hi Adam! When you say Hyperspaces isn't working, what do you mean? What are you expecting it to do that it doesn't?
Hyperspaces is a background-only application, so the only user interface you'll see is a small icon in your menubar:

When I open the program, it shows that icon in the menu bar, but then there is the rainbow ball looking mouse icon when I mouse over. It does not appear to load.

Inappropriate?I also have tried to restart my macbook to see if that resolved it.... But it still has the same behavior... I have an Intel Mac, 2.16 Ghz core 2 duo, 3 BG of 667 DDR2 SDRAM.

Inappropriate?When I start the app. it appears in for about 3 seconds then it goes away.
I tried restarting my iMac... same results. Do I need to reinstall/download the app?

Inappropriate?that is the same thing that happens to me, it doaent appear to load. Any idea of a work around? I read about this program in my copy of macworld, and was really hoping it worked as it said it did, but I'm unconvinced, seeing as I can't get it to run and there doesn't seem to be much help provided as to why this is occuring. And further help or suggestions would be appreciated. Is there a possibility of another app causing this issue within hyperspaces? I am using mojo, earthdesk, and little snitch currently running with my system, along with adium.

Inappropriate?OK, I've received a couple of crash reports directly, and I'm pretty confident I can fix this crash quickly. I'll try to post a new build this weekend - please bear with me.
Earthdesk does cause conflicts (and sometimes crashes), but I'm working on fixes, and the developer of Earthdesk and I are talking about ways to make our applications more compatible.
In the meantime, could I ask a couple of you to try this debug build for me and let me know if the error still occurs?

This build is not a final build and contains debug logging and other outputs that will slow Hyperspaces down - I'm just trying to narrow down the problem.

Could you send me a copy of your crash log? They can be found under ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ -- look for anything starting with Hyperspaces. The latest 2 - 3 files would be a big help. -

thanks for all the hard work you are putting into this.
I downloaded the nightly build, and it's being stable so far.
I removed the older Version 1st before installing the night build Vers.
What I can say so far
- it's runing stable
- it takes different background images
- I can set only 3 spaces at this time
- I can set the short keys, but when I am trying to switch between the spaces it won't take them.
I have used apple key F2/F3/F4, I also tried to use the F Keys in combination with the option key, same result.
let me know if you would need any more details or if you want me to grep the logfiles for any hyperspaces related logs.

it just crashed again, I will send you the full crash report.
I had found out that I can switch to the 4th space when I open the hyperspaces menue and then click on space number 4. With doing this it crashed.
I will start hyperspaces again, but using only spaces 1/2/3 for now.
After the restart it seems to be stable again.
hmm, the short key are now working also.
