I guess it's more of an OSX thing, but it would be a nice feature of Hyperspaces.

Yeah, it's definitely an OS X thing, and no, to my knowledge you can't disable it (yet). I'll be looking at custom transitions in a future release.

Hey Tony — turns out that on Macbooks the animation is really slow, especially with external displays attached. Would it be possible to add an advanced feature (even a hidden pref) to turn off transitional animations for performance reasons? -
Hi Chris, as a first step it might be worth turning off Core Animation under Hyperspaces' Advanced preferences. The preview build I just released makes the non Core Animation mode work properly - http://gsfn.us/t/ci5t
