shortcut modifier ignored
Key preferences ignores modifier... had ctrl-uparrow as "show spaces", but uparrow is the trigger regardless of modifier. Changed to cmd-uparror with the same result, then changed it to "home" and my uparrow is useful elsewhere again. So I suppose b8 will fix this as it's basically a shortcut problem that many are reoporting.

I think I've nailed this one - you'll need to be using the full (non-MacHeist) version to try out this test build.

If you're using the MacHeist version, drop me an e-mail at support@thecocoabots.com and I'll send you a URL.

Inappropriate?Build 836 fixed the problem- Thanks for the awesome response!
I’m a happy beta tester!

Inappropriate?I still have this issue with build 836 :(
Here are details of my environment
Environment: MacbookPro3,1 + OSX v10.5.6 + HyperSpaces v1.0 beta7 (build 830)
Issue: [Regression] Hotkey modifier buttons (ie: LCTRL, APPLE, ALT, but *not* FN) are recorded but ignored in 1.0 beta7 (build 830) VS 1.0 beta6 (ie: Record <lctrl> for the switcher, just hitting <up> triggers switcher).
I don't really have that many apps installed, so I don't think anything else is conflicting...
Thanks in advance...</up> -
There's a bug specific to the previous/next space hotkeys in build 836. You're welcome to try build 841:

Same drill as before - if you're running the MacHeist version, shoot an e-mail to support@thecocoabots.com and I'll hook you up. -
Inappropriate?Sorry, didn't notice there was a newer build till I read another post.
I think it's working now but for some reason it wouldn't work with ^<up> until I first just set just <up> as the key.
Once I did that, it seemed to work fine.
Thanks!
PS: On a slight tangent, is it me or is there now a text box in the background image section of Preferences?
</up></up>
I’m thankful

Err... *looks sideways shiftily* yeeeessss. That was me in a moment of weakness forgetting to tell that layer to mask to bounds. It'll be fixed in 1.0 beta 8 :P
