shortcuts won't save
Hi,
since installing beta 9 (and, with incredibly bad timing, also installing some system updates at the same time), my spaces shortcut keys won't stick - that is, I record a shortcut, record another, and the first has gone.
Occasionally, one shortcut will stick, but I can't so far see any pattern to it.
(This is 10.5.8 on a MacBook Pro, and the updates, in case it's relevant, were: Java update 5, Safari 4.0.3, security update 2009-004, iPhoto 8.1 and RDC 3.3.1)

For anyone else experiencing similar problems, Tim and I have been back and forth a few times by email, and it's early days but it does appear that the latest builds (anything newer than version 0.9.2.1 - build 1100) works OK for Tim.

Hi Tim, if you deleted the preferences/plist you'll lose your license as well. Just re-enter it from the e-mail you received when you purchase Hyperspaces.
Could you try updating to this new build? - it may help to resolve some of the problems you're experiencing: http://gsfn.us/t/ci5t
The only real question I have is: do you run any other software that might be trying to set hotkeys using the same keys as Hyperspaces? -

Ok, I've discovered something I should have realised before now: the problem is only with the Ctrl+number key combo. Anything else seems to be fine. (And the reason I'm not using the Spaces prefs to get that hotkey - which works fine in Spaces, btw - is that I have 12 desktops, and Spaces only goes up to 10)
I've just tried build 1087 - no change I'm afraid. As for hotkey conflicts with other apps, I really can't think of any. I've been through the keyboard shortcuts prefpane just in case.
As I say, it was all working fine until installing beta 9 and system updates. I suspect there's something blindingly obvious going on here, but...1 Comment Add a comment

Any further advice on this please? (I'm not sure why it's been tagged as answered.) I appreciate that I seem to be the only person having this problem, and that it's therefore probably something about my setup, but I'm at a loss as to how to track it down.

Also, if you can have a look in your Console (/Utilities/Console.app) for anything mentioning Hyperspaces (and e-mail anything you find to the same address), I might be able to glean some information about what's stopping your hotkeys from working. -
