Necessary features. Please do these.
Hi, great app! I'm loving it. There are a couple of features I'd like to see though:
General Stuff:
1.) Nicer Dock icon. The current Dock icon doesn't seem to be very OS X like. I'd like to see something more compact.
2.) Possibility to hide Eventbox from the Dock.
3.) Nicer Menubar icon.
4.) Colored Menubar icon, when there are new events.
Heads-Up-Window:
5.) Shortcuts that make the Heads-Up-Window appear and display a specific service, not the last one viewed.
6.) Ability to have the Heads-Up-Window pop-up on any desktop (when using spaces) and automatically hide when another application is selected. See Twitterific's implementation of this feature.
7.) More visual difference between read and unread items in the Heads-Up-Window
Main Window:
8.) Ability to see Tweets of a person without adding the user to the sidebar.
9.) Better Twitter searches (shortcuts) and immediate results without adding the search to the sidebar. (Difference between current search and something like a Smart Folder)
10.) Some cleaning up with all the buttons on the right of every item. Maybe arrange them underneath the item or only display them as an overlay when hovering an item.
11.) Ability to only display headlines when viewing RSS/Google Reader items.
12.) Ability to have service specific settings concerning the visibility of the input area. For example I'd like the input area to display for Twitter and Facebook, but not for RSS feeds or anything else that doesn't have a text input.
13.) State specific unread item counts in the sidebar. I find it kind of confusing to have the unread items count for every icon in the sidebar. If you have several RSS Feeds in one group and each of the feeds has unread items, then each feed will have a badge displaying the number of unread items, the group icon will have a badge and the RSS item will have a badge. The "level" of the badges displayed should be adjusted to what's being displayed in the sidebar.
OK, I think that's about it. Would be nice, if you implement some of these things.
Thx, keep up the good work.

Inappropriate?I'll take your input into account for future updates.

Inappropriate?Thank you!

Inappropriate?Oh, I like the Quick-Input Window. But I don't really see any sense in having that if it takes me to the Desktop Eventbox' main window is running on...
Same as with the Heads-Up-Window: Please creakte an optoin make it desktop independent, so that it shows up when the user presses the corresponding shortcut and hides again (either automatically or by pressing the shortcut again).
Thx, keep it up!
I’m anxious

The Quick Send window doesn't take you to the main window - it opens the small window to just send a message (although it does activate the app so if the main window is already open, it will go in front of other apps).
Pressing the hotkeys again do hide the QS, main and HUD windows. -
Inappropriate?Yeah, I understand that :) Thank's for your quick response. What I meant was this:
In a typical Multi-Desktop-Environment (which you get when using Leopard's Spaces) you'd have several workflows or maybe groups of apps running, each on a different desktop.
My understanding of a Quick-Input-Window is that you can use it to quickly post to Twitter or Facebook without interrupting your workflow, or leaving the desktop your currently working on.
By activating the app, the Quick-Input-Window takes you to the desktop Eventbox is running on and chances are the main window is already open there. Your workflow is being interrupted and you might just have used the main window to do a posting.
Do you see my point? Using a Quick-Input-Window and a Heads-Up-Window shouldn't interrupt your workflow, because that's the sole purpose of having them. I know that this might be just my opinion, but I think a case can be made here.
Thank you very much!

this is one of the best points

Totally see your point. I've this in my TODO list. -
Awesome, Thx. -
Inappropriate?I agree with all of the items on this list. I can see why the icon looks the way it does, but it also seems kind of generic and unfocused. EB should have its own identity, and not just be a collection of Twitter, FB, etc.
