Inappropriate?I’d rather see EventBox focus on providing a top-notch user experience when working with services like Twitter, Facebook and Pownce first before trying to compete with full-blown feed readers.
That said, this would certainly be an awesome feature.

Inappropriate?@Kevin. This isn't about competition necessarily. The primary benefit of syncing with Newsgator would be that it would allow you to see what RSS feed items are read/unread on your mobile device - as Newsgator offers a great suite of mobile RSS reader applications.

Inappropriate?Some sort of RSS syncing is quite essential and very useful. It automatically brings syncing to that plugin of EventBox (almost for free).
Now about Google Reader vs NewsGator. We would like to support both but we have limited resources so one is going to come after the other. We're currently working on GR but that being said, NewsGator has a much nicer API. On top, NewsGator have a good suite of apps which all sync while Google Reader has a much bigger user base. -
Inappropriate?Given that Netnewswire has almost been a synonym for RSS on the mac, I would think that it's user base is not that small compared to google reader. So it might be a good idea to go for Newsgator sync first.
Okay, I'm biased. I use NNW daily and simply love the speed. People who like google reader should just get a grip: it's a web app! If you use it, why do you need/want a client in the first place! >:-)

Inappropriate?Another vote for NewsGator sync support - I'll still use NetNewsWire but I think it would be great to occasionally check feeds in EventBox. I don't think I'd use EventBox feeds at all if it wasn't in sync with NewsGator, since I'd just be reading the same things multiple times.
