Show Twitter conversations.
It would be nice if the twitter feed showed the posts being replied to. This is now supported by the Twitter API, and some Twitter clients. Similarly, some Twitter iPhone apps show replies and direct messages between you and another user in a way that preserves the conversation - more like iChat.

Hahlo.com does this really well.
Right now my sidebar gets littered with profile peeks and searches in order to follow conversations.
I'd love to see this feature! -

I would also love a view like hahlo.com With all the Twittering going on a clean "Conversation" View is very important to keep track.

For Eventbox to be considered a serious twitter app, this is a must.

I know Eventbox is still a work in progress ;-) but.... any news on "Twitter Conversations" ? Currently its a pain in the behind when its "getting busy" on Twitter.

I have to add my +1 — I'm constantly having to →arrow my way out of a tweet that's an @reply, so that it opens in the browser and I can click the @username to see what they said. Usable this way, but cumbersome, and certainly not anywhere near ideal.
Showing the conversation thus far would be *perfect*. -

I wasn't initially sure about this idea but now I'm in full support.
Some of the better Twitter apps allow you simply click on an icon or "in reply to username" link on an @reply (now called mentions) that immediately takes you to the original tweet. This is often required to grasp the context of the @reply. -

The Cosmic Machine has something much cooler in store actually.

*ahem* I ~actually use the main window! (I used the HUD for a while but it was distracting me too much so I stopped.) It would be neat if that feature could be duplicated in the HUD but I don't think it's critical. I'd be interested to know how many others share elliott's view.
I'm excited too! :) -

Yeah, the HUD is nice if you have a lot of screenspace. The point for me, of EventBox, is to *be* distracting. I could go to Google Reader or GitHub if I just wanted to catch up on feeds and things. I want to see them *when they happen*, I want to be *in the loop*. Hence, HUD.

I never used the HUD, not once. I find it utterly useless actually. To me the main window is the great part of EventBox.
