Spacebar goes chronologically through posts

Just like in NetNewsWire and Mail.app, I'd like the spacebar to move through updates in the order they were posted. The only difference (the way I keep the others arranged) is that EventBox lists the newest item at the top. In a move that may be intuitive in a way, but is counterintuitive to me, the spacebar goes backwards. If you could add a preference for this, you could avoid confusing users while still allowing the functionality.
