Asset distribution for multiple investment accounts
I have more than 1 investment account. I want to see my asset distribution (stocks, bonds, CD, etc) for multiple accounts. The portfolio view only gives me one account at a time.
What I really want is to see what percentage of ALL my investments are in a particular type of asset, e.g. stocks
It would be really great to customize a pie chart to show specific investment accounts and their asset distribution.
This would be especially helpful in planning for retirement as many financial advisors recommend keeping a certain percentage of the retirement savings in stocks/bonds depending on one's age.
I would welcome any suggestions for a work-around. I tried combining my accounts, but this won't work for downloading transactions.

Inappropriate?Further, when setting up the investment we should be able to, via drop down box, catogorize the investment as growth stock (or mutual fund), value stock (or mutual fund) or core stock (or mutual fund)
I’m confident

Inappropriate? This was part of what I was trying to achieve by requesting that an account be settable as having any other type account as a parent. You could then see various sub-totals the way you want to, right in the home page. For instance, retirement CD's and investments together under assets.
Of course, a report that gives the info good to, but I think being able to group acounts any way you like for sub-totaling on the home page might be even handier.
