Inappropriate?I realize this post is old, but since it is still unanswered, I'll respond.
If you are referring to a payment that is deducted directly from a bank or credit card account, then it is as simple as entering the payments with the future dates. I do this with mortgage payments, for example, that are paid directly from a bank account, generally for the upcoming 12 months.
If you are talking about ensuring that payments are actually made to some third party that is not a financial institution, rather than simply accounted as being made, then you need to work that out with them, but all the banks I use allow automatic payments to be made on-line practically any major business.
