Categories list empty
I've just installed MoneyDance 2008 r3(631). The help file says that "...Moneydance begins each user file with a standard set of income and expense categories" however when I look at the list of categories (Tools, Edit Categories) the list is empty, but for one entry simply labeled "expense".
What should I expect to find there? I can see how I can enter my own categories, but I really was expecting to find some basic ones that I could start with here.

Inappropriate?That's so weird. Moneydance definitely comes with a complete list of income and expense categories. Maybe try setting up your first account and see if that causes the list to populate. I'm assuming you didn't do any kind of .QIF import that might have overwritten the category list.1 Comment

John, thanks - I did an unsuccesful import of accounts from Money immediately after install, which must've wiped out all the categories. A reinstall fixed it. Cheers!
