manage separate accounts within the same brokerage for online dowloads
In Quicken, I had my separate brokerage accounts from Ameriprise set up as separate investment accounts. Downloads would go to the separate accounts within Ameriprise. Now in Moneydance, when I download transactions from Ameriprise, all transactions for all accounts download into each individual (with separate account #) account, regardless of the account number. How do I get this to work properly?

Inappropriate?Hmm, I have multiple accounts at both Vanguard and Fidelity that use the same login information, and they work fine, so Moneydance definitely supports this type of arrangement. So you did input the account numbers into the account setup in Moneydance?

Inappropriate?Yes - I did.

Inappropriate? If you don't mind starting over, one thing you could try is to just create one account at a time. So create the first one, do a download, and see if it lets you associate that one Moneydance account with one of the online accounts. After it is associated, then add the second. I'm stabbing in the dark here, I have no idea if this will help but just trying to brainstorm with you.

Inappropriate?I started over, but I keep getting this error message now:
There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.
I'm sorry, an error occurred. The details of this error are below.
Error Description: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Inappropriate?I've never seen that error before. It sounds like one of those bizarre errors that may just go away next time you start up your computer (how's that for wishful thinking?). I only say that because, if it worked before, it's strange that it would all of a sudden stop working.
Try emailing the Moneydance tech support. I think email support gets more attention from the paid staff than this message board does.
