Net Worth Configuration - Show/Hide Accounts?
Hi,
Is there anyway to configure the Net Worth calculation on the homepage to show/hide/include/exclude/etc certain accounts?
For example, I keep one file with all of my family's accounts. I want to exclude my kids' accounts so that they don't affect my Net Worth. I know you can do this via reports but I'd like to configure this in the homepage since it is my dashboard. Other finance apps let you do this (Quicken, Money, and others on Mac). I'd love to get this in MD.
I requested a year or two ago in as a feature request in the old MD bug trac system and got a message that it would be in MD 2008.
Thanks in advance from a satisfied customer.

Inappropriate?I have a similar problem and a partial work around. I need to allocate a transaction to a category and account, leaving an odd allocation. For instance I budget an amount for savings each month, and also have a savings account to keep track of savings.I get around this by creating another account, I call it slush, and sending the funds there. But this throws off my net worth figures. I also have several accounts used only to keep track of certain projects.
I put my credit card and loan accounts in liabilities which leaves my loan and credit card groups empty. By using these groups for these extra accounts I can exclude them from the Balances report. They still show up in the home page list but are seperated and I can deduct their value from the net worth value to get it right.
It may not work for everyone and is not perfect but it gets me by and may allow me to get away from Money's inaccurracies.
