Possible to synch with Online Bank Account in Trial Version?
Greetings MD users!
Is Synch with Online Bank Account Disabled in Trial Version? "Download Transactions" is Grayed-Out when I try to get my account to synch - Why?
I'm using Mac OS X. It looks like my accounts are set-up properly, and I achieved a successful synchronization using Quicken on my pc earlier today.
Thanks for any advice. Here's what I'm doing in "Accounts" section:
1.) Entered Bank Name
2.) Entered Bank Acct. #
3.) Entered Bank Routing #
4.) Entered username / password.
5...tried to connect & got error message. Then I tried, under the "Online" Bubble in the toolbar, to click "Download Transactions" (it's also command D with Mac) but it's grayed-out.
Am I missing something obvious? This seems like it should be a pretty simple thing to do.
Thanks!
Jeff

Inappropriate? The only explanation for this is that your bank doesn't support downloads for the type of account you have. Are you using a Bank, Credit Card, or other type of account in Moneydance? What type of account are you trying to connect to?
-
Inappropriate?Mine are both set up as investment accounts. Fidelity Netbenefits and AG Edwards. These are set up as investment accounts in Quicken as well and work fine there. The only other thing I can think of is the Broker ID may be incorrect, but Quicken does a good job of hiding the details of the connection parameters...

Inappropriate? The broker ID might make a difference, but that should only be a problem if you used the Manual Setup button as opposed to choosing Fidelity Netbenefits or AG Edwards from the list. If you didn't choose them from the list then that could very well be the problem and you should disable the connection in Moneydance and then re-perform the setup process, making sure to choose them from the "New Connection" list.

Hi Sean, I removed the connections and rebuilt them using the pulldown lists and that seems to have fixed the issues. When creating the new connection, I actually got a screen asking for user ID and password, which never happened before.
