Transaction report and tag (in splits) issues

I'm trying to create a memorized report for tax record purposes. I'm using the transactions report feature to list my donations category/account for charity deductions and to add the data to enter on the tax forms.

Several problems:
* exporting all of my donations works well, but unfortunately includes a few donations that are not tax deductible.
* adding a tax tag to all donations that are tax deductible does not work in the report. The same report as above but with the tag feature on is blank or empty, even with most transactions tagged with "tax" tag.
* modifying the report to include all categories to get deductions from other categories, includes both sides of many transactions. I can fix this I think by manually going to all opposite transactions and deleting the "tax" tag.
* the csv export includes spaces for numbers greater than 999. When I import the data into a spreadsheet template to take the totals to a worksheet, I have to manually delete numbers with spaces to make the formulas recognize the number as a number.
* when reporting transactions based on all categories/accounts with the "tax" tag, the sum is not correct for split transactions. The total is the total of the transaction, and not of the single transaction that is tagged.

In short, I'm trying to find all transactions tagged "tax" in all categories and subtotaled by who was paid with no spaces in the numbers. I haven't figured out a method yet.
