Inappropriate? Are we still waiting - yes we are and a year is too long. How difficult can it be - isn't this the point of have extensions to plug in (so that's is easy to update small parts)? I for one am getting increasing frustrated. While it's not Moneydance's fault that Yahoo UK changed it's fund pricing search system, surely it's not that hard to modify the search terms Moneydance is sending to create a UK only extension?
Here's hoping (just as well I wasn't holding my breath!!)

Inappropriate?I just discovered MoneyDance and spent most of yesterday evening setting up accounts, recording stock holdings, and now I discover MD won't download UK Mutual fund prices - so it has been a waste of time!
I guess I can write my own extension to do it, right? Is it possible to see the details of the current stock download extension as a starting point template (where do I find it?)
I’m frustrated

That's a good idea. If we're not going to get a fix in Moneydance any time soon, how about at least making it easier for someone else to provide that solution? -
Inappropriate?Hi To the Developers
I have regularly asked the question about UK funds and the inability to update them until I am blue in the face. Now I see the old forum has been superceded by a new twee thing. Which means that all my previous protestations have disappeared.
Maybe this was intentional!. You know its a strange marketing policy where a forum design is more important than the the product.
Come on developers GET IT SORTED isn't embarrassment enough to get you fired up?

Inappropriate?Another person waiting for this... please get it sorted, as would love to be able to use it!!!!!

Inappropriate?I'm another frustrated user awaiting this fix. This is a major issue for the majority of UK moneydance users that own UK investment funds....... Please sort this issue out.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Add me to the growing list of frustrated users. Been waiting for a long long time (must be about a year now) for this simple problem to be fixed. Even Microsoft manages to push out fixes quicker than this. Why this being neglected??

Inappropriate? Is the Ticker No. for UK Funds the ISIN no. or the Morningstar ID?
In any event does this make a difference since Yahoo UK currently has the fund centre as at 15th August 2008!!! (It's December..........)
With no funds searchable.
Could the data be obtained from another source by a UK specific extension if somone with the programming knowledge could make it work?
Is anyone at Moneydance looking into this for us here in the UK?
Also, a bit of explanation on filling in the fields for your first security wouldn't go amiss in the help section either.

Inappropriate?I may have a solution.
Consider creating a "fundable" to hire a developer to write an extension for UK funds. See http://tinyurl.com/ukfunds for one I set up for example purposes only. How much are you willing to tip a outside developer for solving your MD problem? Pay only that amount and no more. Over 15 people from this thread alone have a concrete need... even more may be willing to contribute.
* Figuratively scratch that annoying itch caused by an otherwise great product
* I can secure one of several capable developers.
* Everyone gets their money back if the needed amount is not raised.
* Everyone gets their money back if the extension is not approved by the "fundable" creator, e.g. the original submitter.
* Pay what you like.
* Source code is included for in case anyone desires an extension of the extension or wants verify what's going on behind the scenes.
Fyi... although UK funds are still missing, the following works for UK stocks. http://getsatisfaction.com/theinfinit...
