No, it was not good to push obama's guard out of the way - you were just being a jerk. The would have done that to me as well,

If you were a bit more of an open and fair minded individual it might have helped since you have much more influence than I. But no you were deliberately being a jerk.

Regardless, Obama was indeed a gentleman. I may not support Obama, but he was a gentleman. He outclassed you. Unfortunately your reputation does not help. I like you but I suspect if you become more fair minded, perhaps you would have better luck.
