Can you help save Social Security?

One of the most impressive situations in the political history of this country occurred when the people of the United States responded to the “Amnesty Bill” being pushed through Congress by overwhelmingly voicing their disdain for the bill and it was defeated to the great satisfaction of the majority of the voters.

Currently, we have a situation regarding us with detrimental aspects which could cause the country a very devastating setback. That is the current problem with the Social Security Trust Fund.

Members of Congress have been issuing I.O.U.’s to the Social Security Trust Fund to obtain cash for Pork Barrel Projects for a long time. When the time comes fore those I.O.U.’s to be redeemed to run the trust fund, there is only one way to get that money. That is an increase in the taxes on the people of the country. Failure to do so would result in a tragic reduction received by the Social Security Retirees.

Neither party has owned up to the problem. Also, our leading influential newspapers have not addressed the situation to any degree.

We need to get the American people around to the point where they will have to be informed to the truth of how bad this situation is becoming. One way to accomplish this would be if the talk show hosts, like yourself, would start hammering the issue to their listeners with intensity. You could also discuss it with the other talk show hosts and get behind this effort with some continuity.

Congress has been sitting on their thumbs about correcting this. They continue to deplete the Security Trust Fund with I.O.U.’s and we are reaching the point where the Security Fund will no longer carry the load for retirees. We need immediate action.
